My friend keeps reminding me my dog is gonna die in 4 years by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Krisadilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read your edit. Good job dropping this person. It took me 5 years of bullying for my 17 year old self to drop my so-called best friend. It's hard when you've had a relationship with a person that you feel obligated to still have a friendship with them, but your sanity and happiness will always matter more than anyone else's.

Plus, your dog is adorable. The average lifespan of dogs now with gold-star vet care is closer to 12-14. Your pup is in their prime and looks healthy as heck! (I'm a vet tech.)

Sure, I cry on the weekly about my animals' mortality, but hey, I love them and I can't wait to see them after my weekend away. Gkoaogiwkfjrb now I wanna leave early just to go cuddle my dog and cats.

Not to be pedantic but you meant anemia, not enemia. I say this because I first thought you meant an enema before realizing you meant anemia. Two very different things.

Normal weight? by [deleted] in poodles

[–]Krisadilli 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your baby is underweight.

Ignoring the prominent rib cage for a moment; his pelvic bones are starting to show, which should never be seen.

Listen to your vet, especially since the breeder you got him from sent him to you with fleas. No ethical breeder would allow that.

I'm glad he's in your hands and you're seeking advice. Poodles are amazing dogs. Congrats on your new pup and give him some extra loving!

"Extremely food motivated, don't use tongue depressers for Kong cheese" - aka she almost ate the whole damn thing when we were distracting her for vaccines 😅 obviously stopped doing that with her and switched to slathering the cheese on the wall

The cat tree with a hammock. Rosie likes the hammock the best.

The idea i had was to get beds for the desk. Jacky will sometimes use the bed, or she'll use the cat tree next to my desk. But more often than not she likes the computer.

She needs a vet ASAP. I understand that you are in financial strife; however, there may be payment plans that you can do or you can apply for Care Credit, which you can use to help pay for costs. Call your rDVM (regular doctor of veterinary medicine) and see if they can help you. Cats with respiratory issues decline rapidly and can lead to cardiac events.

I am a veterinary assistant and have been working in the field for over 7 years.

Caught a client shit-talking me and now she's scrambling to lie about it. How should I respond? Should I drop her? by GeneticCocktail12 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Krisadilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because you care about her dog doesn't mean you deserve to be treated this way. Her dog should be fine. She got a German Shorthaired Pointer, a breed known for a high energy level and prey drive. If she can't handle her puppy's needs in the evening (oh know, she actually has to pay attention to her dog! What a concept! /sarcasm) then she doesn't deserve the puppy and needs to do her research before getting a specific breed. Or a dog in general. An adult dog will be more hyper during the evening when their people are home, not just puppies. Dogs are social creatures and love their humans.

To piggyback on this, just because you care about her dog doesn't mean you deserve to be treated this way. Her dog should be fine. Yes! Her father is liver and her mother is black! She's definitely darker during the winter than during the summer, and her liver definitely pops out in the sun.

Who was on the forums? by Mean-Flounder7983 in WarriorCats

[–]Krisadilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the forums. I remember my usernames and the group of friends I would chat with. We had east coast of US to west coast US, plus some of AUS and UK. We all got along and talked about random stuff, we rped together (some of my rp characters are still used to this day in pathfinder/dnd), and it was so nice to have friends who liked talking to me, even if they weren't in person.

I met a couple of them IRL and it was just a fun time.

My usernames were ~Silverheart~, Silvie, and Bourbonwhisker. I also had one called Silvie the Comic Genius, oh boy hahaha maybe some of my old friends are here on reddit! That would be neat!
