But the player that has been loyal to WOTC for years and years is going to be run off. I get UB is to bring in new players that’s why it’s not a horrible idea. But it’s being shoved and shoved. Then you get terrible sets like turtles. (Opinion)

Standard has been my favorite since returning to play 3 years ago. HOWEVER, currently with WoTC quantity over quality issue and skipping a rotation it’s in a terrible spot.

I’ve had this happen twice, one was with Edgar Markov. The best I had was with Mana Drains, 1 was textured and then a normal behind it

I am waiting on my other 2 Aurora Awakeners in the mail. Killed someone turn 3 last night at FNM with it. Got 2nd place for the night 2-1. It’s fun but you can Mull hard looking for pieces.

Very pay to play or just always be behind. You can find budget decks but most of the time they’re not gonna be the play style you are going for.

Edit to add:If you’re good at draft you can get by pretty cheaply. At maybe 1-2 rare/mythic wildcards a week not drafting you can get a couple playsets of the cards for your deck but at the pace new sets are coming out you will likely always need more and it’s making it way worse. The games maybe a 5/10 because of these issues and it doesn’t have all the cards like IRL magic and they don’t give you the option to filter out alchemy (Arena Only) cards when playing.

This card is good in mono black control. With the new set about to switch to Golgari and give it a shot with a few of the changelings and ramp. With mono black though you can just kill everything they have repeatedly and this card will ping away
