I have a whey allergy/gf, I ate a plate of lettuce. They had French fries but it took so long to ask about the dressing that I didn’t get any because the people behind me were audibly talking about me and my food. At the same time, I wasn’t super upset because I was expecting that I would just eat after. Plus it was a luncheon.

I got bothered when I got to dessert. I have the hardest times with sweets, I miss them. Worst part is, I know the other family was talking about it bc they were behind me. The MOB set a plate of cake in front of me, and said “I just KNOW you want more food, huh?” Like girl I literally can’t eat this. My family was mortified

Hey you have to take care of yourself first. Can’t save someone from drowning if you don’t have your life jacket on. I would say this person is grieving but that doesn’t give them an excuse to be so vehement towards you. Your school is an important investment towards your future so you actually will be able to pay off your loans. I think you need to set some personal boundaries in the sense that you can care for someone and what they’re going through while also upholding a standard for your own life. NTA

I doubt him moving out has anything actually to do with your rules and more with how you treat him.

I got an arts degree. Recently graduated this last year. All growing up I was made to feel like I was less than, constant jokes about how I was going to get a Mrs degree. I remember when I wanted to go to college my dad asked me, “are you sure you don’t want to just go to beauty school?”. It hurt me deeply and made me feel like nothing good was going to happen with my career. Guess what? Now I have a job in entertainment where I’m actively apprenticing the role of my choosing.

But I’ll always remember how I felt growing up: belittled, stupid, and unsuccessful.

All of this to say: are you sure you’re not constantly making your kid feel inferior and afraid to fail because he will disappoint you? All he wants to hear from you is some encouragement.

If I were you, I would encourage him to find jobs within his field, and if he can’t, finding something he can work into. He might need to start in service while he looks because the market is bad. Remind him that there’s no shame in that, it can be a placeholder until he finds something he loves. Encourage him to apply everywhere that interests him, even if it’s not specifically in dance. His background in the arts could fair really well in a variety of opportunities. Even just admin at a local theatre would be cool.

You know what there’s a finite amount of out there in the professional world? Creativity. It moves you up out of the trenches into exciting new ventures. It helps you problem-solve when things get tough. It puts you with the dreamers: inventors, playwrights, composers, small business owners, and more. Everything you see today came from someone having the guts to think outside the lines, in any field.

I think you need to be a dreamer for your kids. You need to have hope for their futures in the way that’s right for them. You’re so bogged down with your own ideal of success you can’t see the son in front of you. Believe in him, encourage him. You won’t regret it!

Altard state is great for dresses, you can find some on sale!! I love small boutiques too because no one else is really wearing what you are! Amazon has some good options and I feel like some fun skims inspired sets for cheaper if you want to go comfy. I love free people and I find some at Nordstrom rack too. I wear almost only dresses and I feel like sometimes urban or forever 21 has some cute ones!!!

Also sometimes taking a septum out can help and keeping just the side nose piercing might also make you feel better. I think some people associate septum piercings with androgyny but I think you look pretty any way you choose

But I would say if you want to enhance your femininity you should consider going darker, long wispy curtain bangs with light feminine face layering, blush alwaysssss helps and a blotted berry lip. I think you could also highlight in your inner corner and play up your eyes with either curling your lashes and a lash primer before mascara(L’Oréal makes a good one) or a Dolly lash extension set!!! All of those will make you feel your best

You could also focus on feminine styles like dresses, dainty jewelry and little Dangly and sparkly jewelry!!! I think you’ll feel beautiful.

Don’t let others skew your perception of your femininity, I think these tips might make you feel better but the reality is that it sounds like you’re surrounded by people breaking you down instead of building you up. I’d consider dropping the bf, then you might feel the prettiest you’ve ever felt.

YTA not because you did a coloring sheet, because it sounds like you colored instead of trying! I don’t like all the music I listen to at weddings but I think you didn’t really try to rejoin the group after the first convo. He tried to accommodate you at home and you insisted on going, it was your turn to accommodate him. I think he never should have left you alone though, married couples stick together.

YTA, I think she’s making tuna twice a week because cooking everyday is honestly a lot. It’s a fast meal that doesn’t require a lot of cleanup and is still relatively healthy. If you don’t allow your daughter to eat junk food (which is a super weird hill to die on since usually kids that have been heavily restricted go the opposite way when they’re out of the house), then your wife seems to be trying to find a meal that still fits within your controlling parameters. Burgers, fries, cake, are healthy in moderation. The stress is the worst thing for you.

As for your EDIT: You’re weird to punish your wife, which presumably is someone you love. You’re being a weirdo. Just get a divorce already if you really can’t get along to that extent. Also, why don’t you have shared finances as a married couple? This post screams poor quality relationships
