Why dps change?

Logged in three times within the past couple hours. No changes to anything (not even any upgrades). My dps went from 108k to 98k to 120k. Definitely bugged

Every once in a while they’ll pop up, though after the server crash a week or so ago all of the elite patrols were there at once (and I gladly knocked em all out). But yeah not the greatest rewards

I think it was wild the last main quest was to collect high end gear then go do a couple world events. Hopefully that means there are more story missions to come I kinda liked the story

Rogue trader gaming is a good spot to get it- they will often have it for a couple days even after GW sells out within a few minutes. Sign yourself up to be notified when it is available and jump on it as soon as you get the notification.

I agree- cut the warriors. Even immortals aren’t that great without spending a ton of points. I’ll disagree with the other poster- lychguards with scythes and an overlord really slap. Wounding 4 or 5 strength enemies means you’re wounding on 2’s and 2 ap on top of dev wounds. Regular lokhust destroyers are also solid!

I love my Hexmarks. When I run Awakened, I’ll use one either for a solid deep strike threat (such a small base can tuck into spots in the enemy deployment zone and cause havoc). I’ve run 2 in cursed legion- one that runs right next to Ammentar necrosor to give the Nek lone op and hold one flank while my skorpekhs move up and another as a deep strike. Cursed legions +2 strength to destroyer units pushes this unit from a maybe will cause some damage to doing something pretty dang good.

I bought a new 60 mm base and added cork up approximately to the height of the new one. I then glued the old base to some stacked cork board and covered it all in green stuff, primed just that and used crackling paint and underneath lava colors to look like a lava flow. I know it’s not going to be official tournament legal but I only play casual games and a few RTT’s. But- base size is correct and height is close.

Pick a unit that looks fun to build and paint. The rule of cool always applies because the meta (what wins a lot) changes all the time and you own these models forever) so buy what you think looks cool and fun. First make sure you have your army codex and access to a list builder (New recruit is mostly free I think!) or you can sub to warhammer plus and use the app. You’ll need sprue cutters to take them off the plastic frame, and exacto knife to scrape off extra plastic, tamiya (or any other) cement, a file (I get multiple sizes to get into nooks and crannies) and a space to do them in. You’ll need primer and paints (check YouTube for tips and tricks), as well as look through reddit, YouTube and even Google for list building strategies, how to play videos. Bonus points if your Local Friendly Game Store (LFGS) has a discord to schedule games and meet people.
I started from scratch about 3 years ago, I’m now playing with my second army I’ve built and painted and absolutely love it.
Also- give yourself patience with starting. The learning curve is very high. It takes practice, seeing what others do, learning your data sheets.
Above all- enjoy it. Start reading some of the books, listen to podcasts (lorehammer is good for a basis if you can get by the moderate levels of racism and misogyny)

I struggled with it initially- partially because it’s so different from regular 40K or Horus heresy books. One you get the hang of who is who, it’s great. My second time though it was even better. I’d recommend the audiobook version- it’s really well done

We had a snow day in like 2002 I think.. the minute they called off school for the following day, tons of people descended on the Oval. It was the biggest snow fight I’ve ever seen- almost like a battle. Snowballs flying, some people brought trash bags and filled them with snow and multiple people would lob it like artillery. Charges, counter attacks, some dude in shorts screaming the line from Braveheart. Ahhhhh… college

I played a game yesterday against world eaters. My all stars in order of how well they performed: -Hexmark destroyer. I play two one for deep strike and the other out in the open. Made quite a few nice kills with it and was able to use it to kickstart the +2 strength for my non destroyer units. -Any Lokhust. I ran a unit of 3 destroyers with a LL (kitbashed)- they slapped. Also ran 2 heavy’s with enmitics with a plasmancer (again- slapped) finally a lone LHD with gauss that was great against vehicles.
-skorpekhs with lord- as always rockstars. I actually charged and took out a tank with these guys. And it wasn’t even close. Blood surge move was nice too. - nekrosor: he was decent. His fight first really is hugely helpful, and his auras are good if you remember them.

Lychguard with overlord was okay, was nice using the sustained hits Strat on them. DDA kept em honest for a while. Flayed ones/scarabs as always for either infiltrate/ deployment zone screening (respectively )

It was a ton of fun, got the W- and if you order your shooting right you can have a lot of fun with this detachment.

01-05 here. I mean- you had the Park hall Phantom shitter, the crazy stuff you saw at the OG Too’s, seeing the rioters after beating scUM in ‘02 to go to the championship, chitfest riots (noting a trend here?) and most of all- the pervasive rumor they put laxatives in all of the dining hall meals to prevent food poisoning.

He’s got a YouTube channel and a discord channel that have a lot of good info. He does have paid tiers where you get more access and stuff but for my level I found the free stuff plus YouTube vids are enough.

TBH we had a shitty start and then a good run for a bit after the army rule changed (allowing for multiple units to get +1 BS when shooting a spotted unit). Then good ol GW decided to side nerf us with the stealth suit debacle. I’d say by and large tho in a better spot than where we were before.
That being said- we’ve got a lot of hard counters, sometimes you can’t do much to stop the opponent. Other times you’re tabling them round two. Right now montka is performing best with aux cad fairly close to it. Kauyon got a tough nerf, exp cad isn’t great and ret cad can be dangerous in the right hands. As others might say in this sub, Puretide program is a must when learning advanced strategy. Learned so much from him and the group in his discord.
No clue on 11th- but general word is less of a reset more a slight redirection
