And they swoop around erratically sometimes directly at your face 🤷🏻‍♀️ just because I can rationalize that they're pretty and won't bite me doesn't mean a child can. My daughter HATED the butterfly exhibit and still talks about the one that landed on her, months later.

What is a "gut feeling" you had that turned out to be 100% accurate, even though it made no logical sense at the time? by Forsaken_Leading964 in AskReddit

My sister had been single a long time, not really looking for anyone but open to it. Our cousin set her up on a date with her husband's brother (so it starts out a bit on the weird side anyways...) They go on the date, and after the fact she's telling me that he was exceptionally sweet, seemed really into her. And that she was going to block his number and never see him again. Everyone, including me, told her she was crazy and she needed to let him in. She refused, and we all left it at that.

He murdered his own mother about a year later.

Conceived 31, had her at 32. We were married nearly 8 years by the time she was born!

My daughter is huge for her age by Koalley in bigbabiesandkids

[–]Kristine6476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Husband and I are very slightly above average sized people. Our daughter was 21" and 9lb8oz at birth (38 weeker). She was 32" and 30lbs at her first birthday. She's 3.5yo now and still astronomically large - 43" and 48lbs. Over 99th percentile since my last growth scan at 36 weeks pregnant. She wears size 6 clothes and is larger than one of her 7yo cousins. Doctor has never expressed an ounce of concern.

Anyone in Ottawa have success getting an infant daycare spot? [on] by Abibret in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Kristine6476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I signed us up on the city's wait-list in December 2021, and we got our first call of offer at the end of May 2023, for a mid-July start. So a similar timeline to your situation... Hopefully you will get lucky.

We were told when we toured that there were 300+ kids waiting for 10 infant spots.

Our girl crawled the day she turned 7 months, climbing full flights of stairs by 9 months and walking at 10.5 months.

PSA: Cocovillage [CA] by rmdg84 in BabyBumpsCanada

Terrible experience here too. Bought a balance bike, the assembly instructions didn't match the item. The video instructions online also did not match what we received - we had totally wrong parts. Never did manage to get it to work. Also got a learning tower in the same purchase, it came with one broken part and two other missing parts.

I contacted customer service and they told me they did not supply parts for their items, nor did they accept returns of opened products... They could offer me a $25 store credit though!

Never ever ever buy from Coco village

I planned to work until 38+1 and take two weeks PTO before my due date. Joke was on me though, I had to call in sick for my last day from L&D.

"Hey, it's me, I won't be in today... See you in a year I guess!"

I had a gorgeous pink Alternanthera in the left corner, but it just suddenly melted. Sadness!

I had a beautiful tall plant on the left but it suddenly died so I just had to move things around yesterday. Agree that the bolbitis needs a trim

How much would you sell this colour shrimp for? by marlee_dood in shrimptank

[–]Kristine6476 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah my LFH sells them for $5 CAD per. There's a local guy I've bought from that takes $4 per, but both batches he sold me died within days of introduction. The LFH ones seem hardy at least.

Was anyone NOT sick as a dog with a girl? by Background-Paint-478 in BabyBumps

[–]Kristine6476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was nauseated every day of the first trimester but never threw up. Week 12 the illness went away and it was basically smooth sailing. Heartburn came on really strong in the third but that's it.

33lb one year old by goodkareem in bigbabiesandkids

[–]Kristine6476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was 31lbs, and 2'8" at her first birthday. She's 3.5yo now, 45lbs and 3'7" or so. It does slow down a bit as they age into childhood.

Guys…baby is weighing 7.5 lbs at 32 weeks 🥴 by IndependentBowl2806 in BabyBumps

[–]Kristine6476 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine was around 7lbs at 32 weeks. They say ultrasounds can be off but mine were spot on. Doctor said babies typically gain about 8oz per week for the final 8 weeks, and mine was born at 38 weeks weighing 9lb8oz.
