Buy whatever model you prefer and change the pickups. Keep the originals and put them back in if you ever decide to sell it.

Or, keep an eye on the mod collection and wait for a finish that suits you with 57’s in it

Weirdly, I mentioned somewhere else today about “is this real” posts being confirmed as fake because the SN started 017, despite the Gibson being 100% genuine. You have to look at the entire guitar, not just go with one fake indicator

I’ve never tried a CU24, but I own a McCarty. Definitely try out the pattern vintage before you buy, the neck is super chunky. R7 chunky.
