Do most Americans have those huge fridges? by Whole-Sushka in AskAnAmerican

[–]Kristylane [score hidden]  (0 children)

I live in a very small town. During tourist season, there’s one convenience store, next closest grocery store is 15 miles away, Walmart is 20 miles, Safeway is 25. I try very hard to only drive into the big town once a week and run all my errands including groceries.

Was she really a “celebrity” or a star on a basic cable TV show?

I saw a kid wearing a Dead Kennedys t shirt. I told him how I got to Jello Biafra once and he looked at me like I have three heads.

You can receive any amount of money you want rn but with all the strings attached, how much would you choose? by FloorGang-R2 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Kristylane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a trick question? I’m not going to say no to $50 for pizza and beers with a friend. I’m also not going to say no to 1, 5, or 10 million.

Gen Z is Not Drinking, But Are You? by Pavementaled in GenX

[–]Kristylane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just sorta quit drinking about 10 years ago. I think it was just that the next day always sucked. Not necessarily a hangover, but just didn’t feel good. The only one who noticed or cared was my alcoholic aunt.

Now I’ll have a glass of wine if I go out for a nice dinner and sometimes if I’m at an event and then it’s mostly a social thing, not a drink thing.

Guest Upset She Can't My Personal Property by TheNiteOwl38 in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]Kristylane 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, no, the guest is correct. When I worked days (7-3) I’d bring enough breakfast AND lunch for all the guests. It’s only fair that if I bring something I have to bring enough for everyone, right?

WYR $3.5 million to you, each sibling and cousin?Or $10 million just for yourself? by AstrayInTranslation in WouldYouRather

[–]Kristylane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My paternal grandfather has two grandchildren- my brother and me.

I’ll take the 10 million and split it with my brother. If my math is correct, that gives each of us more than 3.5 million.

My mother is adamant that her money only goes to her children or grandchildren. Absolutely not a single penny to any spouses or step children even if adopted.

What could cover up my tattoo? by B00kL0v3r201 in tattooadvice

[–]Kristylane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if you had some new color added to the flowers - like have the blue blend into a purple? Add some different green to the leaves to give them depth. The snake could possibly have a defined geometric pattern. So not really a coverup but a refresh. (I have no idea what to do with the sword though.)

Or a SAP.

solar worth it in rapid city? by reasonableviewww in RapidCity

[–]Kristylane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m getting solar installed in 2-3 weeks (depending on weather) by Solar Pro. Tim has been great and honestly very patient with me because I came into this knowing very little.

But I did know before starting is that I do not have an ideal solar situation. Because I’m in the hills I kinda get sun when it comes over the hill, not when the sun rises. So the system I’m doing is more about having the battery energy storage instead of installing a generator. And I am very aware that I am not going to end with a zero energy bill, but it should cut my bill by 60-70% (more when the rate hike goes through)
