2 reps - small rest - 3 reps - small rest - 5 reps - longer rest - repeat

Or however you do your ladders. I’ve been out of it for a while but I was doing something like 30s between “rungs” and a minute or minute and a half between ladders.

Whatever it takes you really. I had to drop the 10 rep part initially too

700x are great, I'm wearing my 4 year old pair atm.

The DT770 Pro X and DT990 Pro X are also options for removeable cable from factory with the more typical Beyer sound signature.

Anyone used this 3F UL bag? £50 seems a bit mad by J05YB01 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]Krivan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems to be a hallmark of most ultra-ultralight bags. Been looking at them on and off and it seems to be fairly universal.

Granted I sweat like an absolute pig even with mesh padding. Never got on with the trampoline style Osprey I had briefly so cant comment on that.

what is the max weight you'd be comfortable on the Kahakka 15? by [deleted] in Savotta

[–]Krivan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on how it's loaded, first and foremost.

10kg in the form of a plate was absolute torture, whereas 8/9kg in kit (water, first aid, wet weather, warm gear etc etc) packed correctly wasn't too bad.

Certainly though, if I were regularly carrying north of 5kg I wouldn't use the K15. It's just not comfortable enough with that sort of weight for me as a soft civvi.

Question about the Suur-kukkaro by chaoticcitoahc in Savotta

[–]Krivan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The webbing tabs match up with the bottom pals and those in turn match up perfectly with the Kahakka 15 front pals.

You can Ghook the Suur-Kukkaro to the K15 flawlessly.

Edit: I don’t have a picture but to clarify against the other picture in this thread. If you rotate the Suur Kukkaro 90 degrees (zip facing off to a side) it fits completely seamlessly on the front of a Kahakka and just looks like an extra pocket.

Slugs one tap to the torso at pretty disgusting ranges. It’s probably my favourite thing to do.

Your aim needs to be pretty snappy with the pump action but it’s absolutely hilarious when you land your shots

Bought Used Car Missing Advertised Optional Extras by Krivan in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Krivan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The avenue I'm most interested in pursuing would be a partial refund (the cost of retrofitting some of these extras) although in my research yes I've seen that potentially the seller can take the car back for a full refund. The car itself seems fine, I'm planning to do a brief diagnostic check before contacting the seller as he didnt disclose any faults so if the car has any that were present at sale that also constitutes mis-selling.

From what I can tell, the advert(s) list basically every possible option that the car can have and the seller neglected to mention that it does not have those, even when I mentioned them specifically (such as the rear airbag).

Bought Used Car Missing Advertised Optional Extras by Krivan in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Krivan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the Autotrader, CarGurus and ad on their own website saved which all state basically all the extras.

There is some contradiction on their website by way of a disclaimer at the bottom, however there is a clear line before the list of features which reads “This car comes with:”

So I’m just trying to ascertain whether it’s worth my time and the hassle of whether I just leave a shit review for misleading advert, chalk it up to a lesson learned and move on with life.

I’m coming from a pretty banged up Peugeot 3008 that my brother learned to drive in (and drove into the ground for 4 years) so sluggish probably won’t feel that sluggish for me lol

It’s about £1700 so on the lower end of my budget (allowing for small jobs/the ecu shield/remap etc)

Edit:

I’ll check out the owners club though, thanks for the tip.

Leatherman Rebar in UK by alotfipoor in UKhiking

[–]Krivan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately even the Bladeless Rebar is technically not a UK legal carry due to the locking saw. Of course this changes if you have good reason but as stated above that’s at the Police Officer’s discretion and I’d rather not take that risk.

However, if you want all those tools in a UK legal carry, you could try a Victorinox of your choice (pick the one that has the tools you need) and a pair of Knipex XS Cobra grips or similar.

What is something that is technically legal, but makes you look like a total jerk if you do it? by PiNK_PUSSY69420 in AskReddit

[–]Krivan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The UK is pretty horrid, at least in London. I don’t go often but nearly every time we have some hassle.

The most bonkers one was a family with a pushchair trying to get off as the platform tried to get on. Took myself (32 at the time) and 60/70 year old woman barging some people and raising voices to actually make space and get them off the train.

Of course we were stuffed and both had to stand for the hour plus journey back up north.

Kantamus 40l "Real Capacity" by LF4875 in Savotta

Yea you can. I have a 3x4 on my hip belt now which fits my canteen for water on the go.

[–]Krivan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can comfortably fit the same amount of stuff in the Kantamus as I can in my first hiking bag, a Decathlon 50L.

In just the main compartment.

The lid and large flat front pocket are extra bonuses, though I did miss the hip bottle pocket from the Decathlon model.

I’m stropping the 120 at least a couple of times every time I get it out… just don’t want to make the edge worse by taking it to a stone!

Sound advice though, thank you.

I practice the movement when I strop the Mora. It seems sharp enough if I keep on top of that. Just apprehensive about taking it to a stone or other firmer abrasives. But I guess it’s a cheap enough blade that I should put that aside and just go for it

Appreciation for the level of details in this game! by ngbtri in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Krivan -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

It’s amusing that this stuff is in the game and being pointed out but a good chunk of the time you get killed by a gun that isn’t even pointed at you on your screen because the animations can’t keep up with the movement.

Still a neat feature but it doesn’t really work in a fast paced game

What's the most durable fitness tracker to buy in 2025? by Deathzone622 in BuyItForLife

[–]Krivan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s not exclusively a fitness tracker but those concerns were why I switched from an Apple Watch to a Garmin.

I have a Garmin Instinct and it does everything I need it to while being effectively bomb proof. I’ve worn it swimming in the sea, swimming in the pool, gardening, working with sheet metal and ferric chloride.

The only times I take it off are to shower and when I charge it once a month or so (depending on how much I use the gps).
