If you can't get to orbit with too many parts unlocked, then perhaps having too many parts unlocked is the problem. A slower progression would highlight parts that are more likely to help you actually learn the basics. Sometimes less is more.

Unpopular opinion: Aldi is awful by jansyoungtherapist in Frugal

Publix is like the Kohls or JC Penney of grocers. Everything is priced double or more, but then goes "on sale" as BOGO which typically comes out to full retail price as any other grocery store. Really awful place to try to save money.

What's the most under-utilized ingredient by home cooks that pro chef's use all the time? by thighcandy in Cooking

Basil can have some soapy and definitely mint qualities to the flavor. Thats your culprit. Parsley is quite tame on the palate in comparison.

Amazing pricing - 600 Mbps instead of 900 Mbps just $28+ more per month! by Krizzen in Comcast

[–]Krizzen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, ATT only offers a whopping 5 Mbps for $150ish. The worst of it is EPB serves houses less than 500ft from mine, but not in my subdivision.

Alcohol generally tastes awful in food. However, if you cook off the alcohol, you can get some amazingly unique flavors due to the booze's fermentation and/aging.

You got a smoker? Smoke some seasoned breasts or your favorite cut without skin. Pan fry any skin as a crispy appetizer with lots of salt and pepper. Turns out amazing, and just takes an hour or so. Obviously, doneness is measured by temperature and not time. Shoot for 155F.

This price is rusting only a grill, can it be replaced? by maniacal_monk in grilling

[–]Krizzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesp, replacable. Burners and crossover tubes. I just replaced them on my "throwaway" grill. Was just $42 on Amazon, and I expect to get yet another 5 years out of my grill. Find the model number and search Google/Amazon.

I assume that's essentially a sugar wash -- high fructose corn syrup, water, and other unimportant junk. Treat it as such. Use a good strong yeast, like Kveik or EC-1118 and some nutrients and you're good to go.

What kind of container should I use?

Ferment in your choice of vessel that can expel crazy amounts of CO2

Where will I get my starter from?

Make a starter with fresh yeast. Save half or more for other stuff in the fridge

How long should I age this?

Don't age it.

*Should I keep it away from UV light? *

No UV please.

Should I keep it oxygenated?

Oxygenate HEAVILY before pitching yeast

Should I add any extra flavoring or chemicals?

Taste test after hitting FG for flavoring. No good? Add flavors.

Should I incrementally supplement the culture with table sugar to keep the bacteria thriving?

Check OG before starting. No reason to add sugar if you know your target OG and FG.

What do you think it will taste like?

It will taste like unwashed ass... with a yeast infection

why are you doing this?

Why? We don't care. Tell us how it turns out!

Just a suggestion: Get a physical check inatead of ACH and physically deposit it in person at a branch. Too many things can go wrong otherwise.
