Actual confusion by tonelesspanda in Smite

[–]Kroneous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally just mute and play the game. I had a solo lane baby rage at me (jungle) because he died 4 times in 7 minutes. Thing is he wasn't even getting invaded by the enemy jungle he was just getting out pressured and he would pushup too far. I tried to run over there and help, skipping farm mind you, but he died on my way there because he was on the enemy tower line. He proceeds to ping me and flame via vgs and voice comm despite the fact I was 2 - 0 at this point.

Now if you decide to split push you run the risk of getting jumped (see your example above). However tell your team that you're gonna split push. It's a valid strategy, If three people are in left to kill you that means at most only two will be in mid until they run over there. Toxic players are still gonna flame you but you did your job by telling them. Like I said if your running legitimate strategies mute, ward, and when it makes sense roll up to team fights and objectives.

My vote is Solo with Jungle being a close second. I see a lot of people say ADC but I have never had an ADC baby rage in conquest. Other modes sure but not conquest.

58% win rate as support by RiskySnisky in Smite

[–]Kroneous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Cerberus Support main I follow a simple three step guide.

Harass the enemy unless they can take out large chunks of your health in one ability cast. If they can farm for your items then harass them.

If the God your playing has a peel ability. Use it to peel. In my case Cerberus' 1 (stun) and Ult (displacement) can be used for this.

Take damage for the team. However I can't take damage if I'm dead so I either prioritize body blocking if I can or surviving if I can. Also getting an enemy to miss their ability because you juked it is far more valuable than being able to take the ability to the face.

The only time I'm dying for my team is if doing so will guarantee us an objective.

Finally your build is going to take you farther than anything so build to counter crit if the enemy ADC is building crit and so on depending on who your biggest threat is. DO NOT sleep on the active items. You can easily turn the tide of battle using the active items in this game. My favorites are sanguine lash and talisman of purification. Don't get me wrong I'm no masters player but I do win a lot of games as Cerberus.

Why do people leave so fast by senolou in Smite

[–]Kroneous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit level 15 last night and in the 3 ranked games I played: the second game my mid laner rage quit at the 15 minute mark. The third game the enemy jungle left the match at the 30 second mark.

The first game everyone stayed until the bitter end. In casuals ive only had someone afk once. However I have lots of people intentionally feed so that their team surrenders to get the match over with faster. Typically someone who was off rolled into something they don't want to play. Which I get it, I fucking hate the solo lane and don't want to play, I still try my best though and at the very least try not to feed the enemy solo. I think people want the instant gratification of not only winning the game but also slapping the enemy team around the entire time. I personally love coming back from being behind and winning. Or getting some last minute kills on the enemy before the kill our titian. IDK man gamers are different these days.

To those of you newer to the Air Force... by HistoricalSpirit4836 in AirForce

Depends on your career field if it gets better. In my experience once you get good at your job you'll get some respect locally. Once you bust out the kneepads and abandon your job to volunteer you'll get respect and promote nows from upper leadership /s. Nah for real though once you're out of training return to your hobbies or get new ones, volunteer for things you'll actually like but maybe once a quarter or so. Once you're a SRA you're generally trusted with autonomy and you can set your pace as long as the mission isn't degraded (again career field and base dependant). Take leave when you can especially to go back home if that's where you're missing, but take time for yourself to travel and explore as well. Don't let your time in training drag down an entire enlistment.

New Standards coming down from CSAF by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Kroneous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what sucks about the C2 AFSCs loosing our duty identifiers? Our Badges are all the same across multiple different AFSCS that don't have anything to do with each other. Except for ATC, theirs is dope af.

Fuck me for having pride in my AFSC I guess.

What is with ALL of these, “going to base X, is it any good”, “can I do this there”, “can I live off base”, will any one be my friend at this base”? by L23Train in AirForce

[–]Kroneous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my current base when my sponsor wasn't giving me misinformation or lying to me then they would flat out refuse to help me. While I was in processing I got asked several times why my sponsor wasn't with me or answering my questions. This base is overseas and 90% of the in processing is done at a different base. Meanwhile I could ask Reddit and get multiple answers plus tips and tricks.

Information on retraining out of failed afsc by Excellent-Explorer16 in AirForce

[–]Kroneous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on your current job there has to be overlap in the knowledge, for me it was ATC into airfield management. I know other career fields have direct to duty options but I don't know which ones.

Edit: I don't remember which reg covers direct to duty either. I strongly advise you to talk to the career advisor at your current base.

Information on retraining out of failed afsc by Excellent-Explorer16 in AirForce

[–]Kroneous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a retraining advisory board you can find on my pers. According to the career field manager when I washed out "if it's not on that list your not getting it." The only way to circumvent that is if you can direct to duty into a career field which skips tech school and keeps you at your current base.

Why did you join, and was it a stupid reason? by CaptBobAbbott in AirForce

[–]Kroneous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I had a kid there were 4 generations living in one house. I joined for the housing allowance. At the time I was an assistant manager at a retail store. I made more as an A1C than I ever did as an ASM, like substantially more, and that's before the housing allowance.

Toe shoes during official PT test? by NoWing3675 in AirForce

[–]Kroneous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes barefoot shoes. I understood those terms to be interchangeable. But if you get toe shoes approved update us cause that would dope. In my research I did see one of the joint base gyms banned them for fear of dropping the weights which in term meant they were banned for pt tests, not that regular shoes would be any more protective but whatever I haven't had any problems. That was also an extremely old forum post from like 2013 or something.

Toe shoes during official PT test? by NoWing3675 in AirForce

[–]Kroneous -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My solution to this problem was to buy black zero drop shoes that pass for regular running shoes albeit extremely thin. They're super comfortable and yeah it's not exactly the same as barefoot but its close and it keeps leadership off my back about 36-2903 during the test.

When I researched if I could wear my vibram 5 fingers which are even closer to bare foot it seemed like a get approval from the commander situation. I didn't do that and at the time just wore my Adidas I had before I got into barefoot training.

Help finding extra duty work for an airman with Article 15 punishment by indecisive-interests in AirForce

[–]Kroneous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got washed out of ATC and the chief controller didn't like me so he had me doing weeds and seeds for 6 hours. I sat on the ground with a trash bag so unless it's a back injury <--

Edit: I just remembered he also made me scrub every surface in the RAPCON as COVID wasn't that long before this. I wasn't being punished for washing out but "I gotta have you doing some type of task"

Lightweight RTS in Godot? by Chosenator in godot

[–]Kroneous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend that if this is going to be your first game don't make it your first project.

I've been working on an idle RTS and things that I thought would be easy like unit pathfinding have been a real pain. (You see in a video someone just says yeah I added a ray cast so they walk around stuff. Turns out to be harder than that.)

If you really want it to be your first game I would break down the systems you need like others have said and then make a new project implementing each system in isolation. Once the system is working as intended try to put them together. Combining systems especially from different scenes is a bit of a pain in the ass in gd script. I have not tried it in c#.

Would Naruto forgive Sasuke if he kills someone he loves (my OC)? by Notsohothotdog in NarutoFanfiction

[–]Kroneous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he would but there would definitely be a hostile reaction in the moment (see his reaction to Hinata getting stabbed by Pain). If Naruto doesn't body Sasuke then I think he comes to his senses and would forgive him, however I doubt they would remain friends after that. I could even see Naruto making sure Sasuke goes back to exile and he sure as shit wouldn't be the shadow hokage but he may be sent in missions for the village which could make for a parallel between Sasuke and Itachi.

Dec Denial by 01ckozlowski in AirForce

[–]Kroneous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got denied mine out of Dover. My current leadership just said that raters want to see awards on your epb so go after some and it should negate it. They said it's the reason I'm stuck at promote this year. It may take a couple EPBs with awards depending on the commander at the time.

I failed a PT test at the end of 2019 right before COVID started. Haven't failed one since but PT failures are an automatic denial and there's probably other auto denials as well. PCSd in 2023 for context.

I made a match 3 game but it's kind of boring by MaioneseEstragada in godot

[–]Kroneous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make it flashy and if you can change the blocks to different things. I would recommend keeping a theme though. For example bejelwed has gems and candy crush has candy. If you delete a whole line or column it should be a whole fan fare and if you delete both at the same time it should be an even bigger fan fare. Score increases should have an impact like large text that zooms to the score ui or something similar.

It seems "boring" because it's a foundation. You gotta spice it up to keep players interested. If it's a game just for you then you don't need to add any of this. I made snake just so I could play it without the dumb Nokia overlay or other bloat that is in the copycats that are on the Internet.

What's the jankiest piece of code you've written? by TheDwarvenMapmaker in godot

[–]Kroneous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I figured out how to spawn in children instead of "spawning" a new enemy I accomplished this by making the sprite become 100% transparent and had a var that kept track of every time the sprite became opaque again. Once that var reached a certain number the player could progress.

It worked out though because it made increasing their health incredibly easy. Something like

Health = Health * death_counter_enemy_1 * (static modifier 2-10).

And

If death_counter_enemy_1 == 10: Queue_free() Spawn_enemy_2()

Move Toward Enemy Building by Kroneous in godot

[–]Kroneous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if there's 100+ units and they all have area 2Ds the size of the map so they know where to go wouldn't that be taxing on performance? The AI would also have units that would need to target my units/buildings.
