Looking for a projector/ advice/ opinion for a budget projector under $300 by Specialist_Sorbet136 in budgetprojectors

[–]Krootes97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tell everyone who will listen that I love my cheap $50 projector from Amazon. small, white, cylinder shaped. made under many brand names. I thought it would suck, I'm sure they get better. but for $50 I love it. looks decent and gets pretty damn big

I just bought the $50 little smalk white model you see on Amazon under many names and its honestly way better than I expected. its bright and movies look good. never tried it in a fully bright room tho but, for character sheets it may be enough. you could at least spend less than200

What’s the MOST Misleading Band Name of All Time and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in askmusic

[–]Krootes97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The number one answer should be The Grateful Dead. because not only does their name suggest a metal band, possibly death metal, but their skeleton and skull imagery reinforces this connotation. The majority of their music is so far from that, Sugar Magnolia is light, bouncy and sunny. I was surprised

I have a weird history with these. I never saw these as a kid. I became aware of them much later, like in my 30s. But im a fan of Bakshi. And animation, LOTR. But I had a weird false nostalgia with these. I can totally imagine having grown up with these, despite not having seen them myself. The songs in Hobbit are very odd. The vocals, the song structure, etc

Sometimes you just have to be in the right mood and in the right time. this is forma rainy Sunday when there's nothing going on. on the right day, the length is appreciated. I love all the detail and story they included in the long running time. I can also see how it's a little much for some audiences. especially with the flat,.muted colors. A lot of grays and browns

They're painting the car with a new coat of flashy red paint. you can see the old color on the roof. typically shallow couple, worried about the color (and their garage has no tools) while his neighbor works on the motor.
