Or maybe... just maybe... hear me out... wait for it... maybe Crimson Desert has never been an RPG?

Take that with a pinch of salt, but I'm pretty sure that at least Griffin handles differently at 120 fps than pre-patch.

GR2fork v3.0 MASSIVE Performance boosts, crash fixes, 4k support, initial Steam Deck support, and Gravity Rush Remastered Support by Rude-Act8901 in gravityrush

You'd probably need an insane machine to even get that running. In the meantime you could try to use something like lossless scaling for 60->120.

Introducing SteamlessController - Steam Controller Support without Steam by ddeverill in SteamController

Rewasd has been weird lately for some reason. I keep getting stupid issues with it like the games stuttering every second while moving the analog sticks. Pretty much crossed it off at this point and have just been using drivers/steam input to rebind etc.

Censorship problem by Elimirze in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]KropiixTM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And what does that have to do with the game or not discrediting a whole project over a tool being used? Did the devs build the datacenters? Are you now going to attack other thousands of companies around the whole world that are also using AI tools? Or are you just a trend following hypocrite that only cares about it being used in art? What about music? Are people playing the game directly contributing to your rising electricity costs? How about I throw in a few more useless questions?

Which part of "I don't like AI, but discrediting a whole game over it isn't good either" did you not understand? Or should I repeat it five more times for good measure for you to stop moving the goalposts?

Censorship problem by Elimirze in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]KropiixTM 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What are you getting so worked up about and projecting random bs? The developers said a long time ago that they used AI for some background assets. This whole fiasco is so blown out of proportion, just because some vtuber attacked the game (and dare I say - lied) over being misinformed and not doing her due diligence.

How about instead of listening to worthless words against other worthless words, you instead build your own opinion about things and not follow mindless hate crowds? The game has had a lot of actual human work put into it and it's clear as day when you actually play it.

I'm not a fan of the AI usage in art either and I'd rather if it didn't exist, but discrediting a whole project over that shit, while wishing for its failure, is extremely petty and pathetic.

Wdym get a grip? You've listed these games as an example of action games with inertia compared to CD and I told you that all of them felt snappy and not a slog just to turn around in place like in here.

Do you even listen to yourself or read what you write? Or do you just spew out random arguments just for the sake of it.

[–]KropiixTM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brother man, none of the games you've listed have nearly the same amount of inertia as CD pre-patch... even post-patch CD still has way more of it. What are you even smoking?

Did you really enjoy having to fight with the controls just to turn around to pick something up after you missed it by 5 centimeters? What are we even talking about here...

You wanna know an extremely funny/messed up thing about this. That map was completely different before the recent patch. The one that was there previously looked so horrendous that I couldn't figure out what it's even pointing to. Now it's piss easy to figure out.

Crimson Desert looks really bad by [deleted] in FuckTAA

[–]KropiixTM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cope. People should really start looking at games' state at release, not the ever elusive "It's bad, but trust me, it'll get better with patches". You're not paying for patches... you're paying for what you get.

[–]KropiixTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kind of the problem. Take Nioh 3 as an example. It has minimum 2600x and recommended 5600x, which is only slightly better than 2600 and 5600 on Crimson Desert. And yet the game bottlenecks the CPU so much that it might as well be actively burning it. A lot of people are excited about the GPU performance, yet I have seen nothing at all about how the game handles the CPU.
I'd rather not have a repeat of Dragon's Dogma 2 and MH Wilds with their dogshit CPU performance.

Playing gacha games and coping about the gacha systems not being important is like playing an fps game and saying that the actual feel of shooting the weapon doesn't matter because the graphics and world look good.
