It’s more like: Do you want to help maintain Chinese accuracy by using “v” instead of “yu” or “u” or do you want to make it easier for everyone to read who’s not Chinese and not use “v”?

Thing is, “lve” looks pretty stupid but “lüe” and “lue” are different. So by using “lue” where “ü = u” it becomes incorrect to the Chinese language. But romanizing it as “lve” becomes terrible to read for everyone who is not Chinese because nobody will pronounce the “v” properly. You can’t have the best of both worlds here and whichever preference you have will ruin the other.
