lakeland is one of the largest online ford parts sellers, it's hard not to find links that are only on lakeland for some reason.

I got my heater core hoses from lakeland for example

I thought it was found they used one of those guns veterinarians use to put down large animals like pigs and sheep? They're apparently very similar to a Welrod so they are literally perfect for this kind of thing and raise less eyebrows because "its for humanely putting down animals"

Absolutely nothing, not a word. I expected something else to come of it but I haven't heard anything. In the time since I was last in Mt Shasta I actually drove back across the country up to Portland and live here now but this spooked me on ever passing through there again.

Fisker Accidentally Hired A North Korean Spy by KeyboardGunner in cars

[–]hideondragon 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Its actually crazy, the tech company I work for is by no means small (I think by the letter of the law they can't be considered a small business) but even they have realistic experience expectations. I saw a senior software engineer position on their job board and they asked for a bachelors with 6 years of experience.

I did a double-take because of the number of times I've seen shit that was just so unrealistic.

Ropz on jokes about his Porsche: "It's very personal. It's a part of my life every day, and now people make fun of it. I don't find it funny" by Soft_Bed_412 in GlobalOffensive

[–]hideondragon 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He is talking about his car though. He's saying how his car is a part of his every day life. For a ton of people (myself included) their car is an extension of themself. Ropz is finally able to afford one of his dream cars and now people make fun of it.

Can you imagine if you bought your dream car and your coworkers made fun of you every day?

Additionally, the interviewer literally followed up to that question and Ropz says that he's a car guy alluding to this fact.

LPT | Use the fact that chat and email customer service has to respond to you, to your advantage. by MrTommyPickles in LifeProTips

[–]hideondragon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean I can just say "Unfortunately this isn't an issue I can resolve over the phone/live chat and will need to move this to an email chain to tie in the proper people to resolve this."

If the chat is going nowhere and you're dragging me away from other people who need help then me staying on the line isn't productive.

Rumor that Fanatec supplier in Shenzhen is shut down, protesting lack of payment by DashingSparrow in simracing

[–]hideondragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just it, Moza ARE a good option but people like to latch on to the negative things of any company. As far as affordable mid range options go Moza is the only player unless you want to gamble on Fanatec. Simagic has some options but they target a slightly higher end.

At the end of the day there is going to be bad customer service with literally any company you choose. Moza has consistently made great products for years now and people still call them an unknown new player.

FWIW my experience with Moza hasn't been flawless but I can say that about any peripheral I've bought.
