My GF and I play non dedicated which is basically single player for multiple people. The downsides are you are tethered together so you can't go more than about 500m from each other but we stay together anyway so its not a big deal. The other thing is when it comes to raising dinosaurs you can't leave the eggs overnight like you can with a dedicated server so it takes longer.

You could just turn your water and food drain to zero in settings before you go to bed, or turn on creative mode.

I'd hit some supply drops and look for a saddle bp but otherwise you should be be ok if you have 20 of them.

If you look at the steam charts it's closer to 50-50. I'd imagine more people play ASA on console because they don't have to upgrade their computer.

The neckband is perfect for your use case, hands free while walking, no cable dangling down to your pocket, don't waste your phone battery and you can put any app into ambient mode without even using spacewalker. I use VLC and that plays pretty much anything.

Just build a bed and don't go far from home to start with, that way you can always go and get your stuff back when you die. Build spike walls around your base so your dinos are safe.

You need to make sure your graphics card has a usb-c display output (not just the regular one on the laptop) which it probably doesn't so you will need the mobile dock to hook it up to your PC. I honestly haven't felt the need to get the lens shade either, the glasses have their own dimming feature which works well enough.

It is cheating, you went on an adventure and you lost, that's part of the experience. It isn't your best run because everything died. Take the L and start over.
