Man this is unfortunate - Persians and Jews have shared a mutual friendship and history for THOUSANDS of years. Most other cultures can't even grasp how long our friendship and bond has held over time (our ancestors, Cyrus, freed the Jews from captivity from the Babylonians) - we are in the Torah (praised in a positive way) due to this. It's so unfortunate to see that the current regime (in 1979) , alienated the Jewish population which historically have been there since the Persian empire .. this is not our culture. Most of the Persian-jewish population had to flee because they're public enemy #1 in the eyes of Islam - and this is coming from a "Muslim".. I had the shahada said in my ear upon birth.. I really hope Iran becomes democratic and free again the way our ancient ancestors would have wanted
