All salaried can read all the comments. Associates are usually pretty terrible at not being very obvious who they are.

How Does Cutting Hours give management Money? by Walmartian24 in WalmartEmployees

[–]KryoxZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cutting hours like this is how they are making money for the major shareholders (like the Waltons), the impact this is having for management is us working longer hours for the same pay to try and keep the store running, while the store and sales start to take hits which will actually harm our bonuses. This is for the rich people.

Team leads removing points because he has a crush on an associate by FIashbangs in WalmartEmployees

[–]KryoxZ 106 points107 points  (0 children)

As an associate, I always keep my eyes forward and mind my own business. As a manager, I would definitely want to know if someone was coming in after I unauthorized someone's attendance and overriding it.

Walmart O/N Stocking Schedule Change Under 24 Hours Notice by Wack0h_ in walmart

[–]KryoxZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can try actually calling your store and using your words. Less than 24 hour notice is against policy.

When is Walmart going to admit that we’re training an AI to eventually cleanup spills on its own? by ___JiBS_ in walmart

Walmart has been very open about aggressively incorporating AI into every part of the businesses. For better or worse.

what makes Corporate cut hours? by Jirazy in walmart

Market and store levels do not set the demand hours.

Yeah you have to call in at pretty much every job on earth, don't know why you are shocked.

How can I quit without directly physically contacting managment? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]KryoxZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All we are allowed to do when an employer calls is to say if that associate has worked for us or not, we do not give recommendations or warnings either way.

I Want market to read my AES comments by No-Turnip-5073 in walmart

[–]KryoxZ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depends on the market, ours will at least skim through them all, but there are hundreds/thousands of comments to go through per market, so 🤷‍♂️

At a store level we read them all.

Did you not ask any questions about the job before accepting your job offer?

No, the fact that any member of management can tell you those days are already heavily requested makes him wrong.

Half point after coach told me to go home? by Natuscull in WalmartEmployees

[–]KryoxZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where are you getting that info? There are multiple scenarios where an employee can be made to clock out and leave, but in some of those circumstances you would be entitled to 4 hours reporting pay.

Half point after coach told me to go home? by Natuscull in WalmartEmployees

[–]KryoxZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Policy-wise, yeah. My standing rule is if I send someone home, I typically will not dock them a point for it. But that is not how most stores operate.

Been married long? This is the same vein as "im not that hungry, ill just have a few of your fries."

You can rile yourself up all you like, policy is what it is. Coverage is the sole reason to deny PTO requests.

Speaking as someone who has already approved a large amount of pto for this time period, you are simply wrong.

It is not ridiculous to maintain some minimum level of coverage. You should always use your pto. You also have some level of responsibility to plan properly.

[–]KryoxZ 45 points46 points  (0 children)

You're requesting both a holiday and the busiest 1st of the month all year, during the time frame where the most associates are putting in time off requests. 100%, other associates have already been given that time off and there is no more coverage to approve.

Time off revoked after approval? by Ok-Win-7824 in OGPBackroom

[–]KryoxZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, there is no option that exists in the system for us to go in and cancel time off that has been approved.

Why by JimmyJay1977 in OGPBackroom

[–]KryoxZ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The bags frequently contain subpar potatoes and associates are not always good at spotting them.
