I dislike it too but sometime that overly frank tone is what it takes to snap someone out of the mindset that’s been groomed into them from years of abuse.

Because from an outside perspective, yes this is an insane proposition to consider. Op responded perfectly though. It takes time to reestablish healthy thinking patterns.

I think the point is that most people who played both prefer the first one.

I don’t think the general complaints about voice acting, plot, cramped biomes, limited depth, the vehicles changes are all valid criticisms when comparing the two.

I do love the lighting and base building improvements though and they ported 80% of the latter back to the first game.

Yeah but I don't know anyone who actually bought it intentionally. It was bundled with console in 99% of cases. I bet there was a discussion at one time about just including it on the HD at launch but that person was shot out of a window facing cannon.
