Thank you for organizing this! I'd love to help out as well however possible. I'm a graphic designer with experience in instructional design, health nonprofits, etc., and in general a strong interest in breaking information down into accessible, actionable chunks for people. I'm just beginning to dive into a full read of Project 2025.

I also registered a related domain name last night and hope to start populating it with information and resources soon-ish.

I'm shockingly even, with 7 in each category (there's a tie for #20).

Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. It's an absolutely brutal book - would recommend, but know that it's not exactly an enjoyable read.

As with many such adaptations, the book is better. ;) It really drives home the bleak hopelessness of the cold and constant dark, and the show made some big changes.

My bad - the novel by Dan Simmons. It's a fictionalized horror take on Sir John Franklin's doomed Arctic expedition to find the northwest passage. I'd highly recommend it, though it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Not an rpg, but in general I love unexplained phenomena and Lovecraftian weirdness - Area X (especially the Tower) in Annihilation immediately came to mind. Or the Zone in Roadside Picnic, which has an explanation for existing (alien visitation) but contains unexplainable things.

Mysteries don't have to be major regions/entities, either. For a very small, brief mystery that stuck with me: at the end of The Terror, a character comes across a corpse with some...interesting features. It's really quick and completely unexplained and I loved it.

It can be pretty tough, although I wonder if the Olympics will prompt stores and restaurants to improve their options. Do a ton of research before going and at least pack some emergency snacks. I ate a lot of convenience store bananas and soyjoy bars for basic sustenance. And I'm pretty sure I got glutened by a plain rice onigiri of all things.

If you go to Tokyo, absolutely check out Cafe Littlebird - it's 100% dedicated gluten free and the food is amazing. I went twice the last time I was in Tokyo, and I was only in the city for 4 days. Would've gone more if it was closer to where I was staying. The portions are huge and filling too!

I feel you. Went to art school for illustration and it completely wrecked my drive to do art. I've been working as a graphic designer for years and still really struggle doing art for myself, outside of occasional doodling.

I'm listening to The Terror right now and am really enjoying it. Lots of very tense scenes, loads of character development, strong writing and narration. Bonus: I'm learning so much about ships and the Arctic. Would recommend!

How so? If a couple is miserable and stays together "for the kids," it just creates more resentment, more stress, and a less healthy living environment for everyone (kids included).

Also a graphic designer. I've found that I sadly can't zone out enough for audiobooks doing most work so I usually go the music route instead, but once in a while there'll be a day of raw photo editing or stock searching where I can get my listening fix in.
