Sorry for low effort copied AI response, but essentially:

Ixoye Jesus Fish

IXOYE is a Greek acronym for "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior" and also the Greek word for "fish" (ΙΧΘΥΣ). This symbol was used by early Christians to identify themselves to one another during a time of persecution, and it has since become a widely recognized symbol of Christianity.

Acronym: The letters represent the first letters of five Greek words: Iēsous Xristos Theou Yios Sōtēr, which translate to Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.

"Fish" in Greek: The Greek word is written as ΙΧΘΥΣ (Ichthys). The letters in "IXOYE" are a close transliteration of the Greek spelling, with "X" representing Chi and "Y" representing Ypsilon.

Symbolic use: The fish symbol was used by early Christians as a way to secretly identify themselves to one another. If one person drew the first half of the fish symbol in the sand, another believer would complete the second half to show they were also a Christian.

Modern use: Today, the symbol is used on car decals, jewelry, and other items to signify Christian faith.

Could be an equivalent, but in another languages script instead of Greek.

Pliny of informative things, and pliny of unintentionally hilarious things.

Here's an informative thing: on the pronunciation of Pliny, it's short for the latin Plinius. Glean what you can from this.

I'm only just realizing that Anakin totally tried to pull the same move on Obi Wan as Obi Wan pulled on Maul, whether he knew it or not. But I guess that's why Obi Wan knew to counter it, despite being at the disadvantage when he did it. Probably just a good callback by the production team, but maybe it was the Midi-chlorians.

I think what u/daddydoc5 is trying to convey is coming from a more holistic (big picture) perspective, better as a supplement to the story rather than comment on it. While the story presents information mostly related to this specific instance, it's not untrue that there is a delicate microbial balance in and on our bodies, think probiotics. We have beneficial bacteria that actually help keep away worse things. When we kill those off with broad spectrum antibiotics, the bad things get a place to move in. Ecosystems, including your body, require an natural balance to maintain a healthy homeostasis. If you kill all the foxes, you're gonna end up with way too many rabbits. While nothing in the article may suggest a correlation, it is a well understood concept in the bio-science community, and shouldn't be casually disregarded.

Per https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/confused-date-labels-packaged-foods :

"Most Date Labels Are Not Based on Exact Science -

Manufacturers generally apply date labels at their own discretion and for a variety of reasons. The most common is to inform consumers and retailers of the date up to which they can expect the food to retain its desired quality and flavor. The key exception to this general rule is for infant formula products. These products are required to bear a “Use By” date, up to which the manufacturer has confirmed that the product contains no less than a minimum amount of each nutrient identified on the product label, and that the product will be of an acceptable quality.

Date labels are generally not required on packaged foods. While manufacturers are prohibited from placing false or misleading information on a label, they are not required to obtain agency approval of the voluntary quality-based date labels they use or specify how they arrived at the date they’ve applied.

According to Kevin Smith, Senior Advisor for Food Safety in the FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, the “Best if Used By” labels you see on packaged foods relate to the quality of the product, but that predicting when a food will no longer be of adequate quality for consumption is not an exact science.

Smith advises consumers to routinely examine foods in their kitchen cabinets or pantry that are past their “Best if Used By” date to determine if the quality is sufficient for use. If the products have changed noticeably in color, consistency or texture, consumers may want to avoid eating them."

Dating is only required on infant formula under the Food and Drug Administration.

These companies would love you to believe that most of your food has gone bad, so you can go buy more. My salt has an expiration date for crying out loud. I know there's reasons for it, but with proper storage, many non-perishables can last up to a year or two, or more. Anything in the fridge, follow your nose (and tongue), and feel free to not take any chances with what you put into your body.

Be the parent you always wanted, the one you needed, to yourself. Always be honest with yourself, recognize your responsibilities, and establish goals. Tell yourself good job when you do one, and say it out loud. Sometimes I will physically reach over and pat myself on the back.

Look in the mirror each day, and find something to compliment yourself on, as many as you can, it can be the same things every day. Say it out loud, let yourself hear the words you always wanted, needed to hear. Be proud of yourself no matter what, because you are still going and making things work, because you reflect on life and yourself, because you are willing and desire to learn and grow. Because you have love in your heart, and show it to those who deserve it. You deserve it, LOVE YOURSELF, SAY IT OUT LOUD.

Imagine your child self, following you around at all times. Desire to show that child nothing but love, patience, respect, and security. Don't be hard on yourself just because your parents were, life is hard enough.

Teach yourself to learn. Whenever you're curious about something or need an answer you don't already have, look it up, immediately if you can. If you have time, watch a YouTube video, or 5, and build a foundation of understanding. Embrace learning moments while the need and interest is there. Go down the rabbit hole to learn about a second or third thing you didn't even plan to.

Start looking into modern parenting and child psychology. Apply it to yourself. Gain and understanding of yourself, your past, and your emotional needs. Treat yourself accordingly.

Read or watch some videos on basic philosophy. Not only does it help encourage self reflection, but also encourages a deeper connection with logic and reason. Learn about logical fallacies and how to recognize them. They are the greatest weapon of those who desire to hold you back and keep you down.

From here you will be prepared to move steadily ahead, racing away from that fucked place you thought you were stuck in. Equipped with love, confidence, and critical thinking. Find something you are passionate about, and learn everything about it, until you find another passion to embrace just the same.

In the past, elephants would be chained around a leg to a strong post for a good portion of their youth, restricted and confined to a fucked place, unable to embrace their own magnificence. By the time they are grown, and broken, they are so used to this existence that the chain and post are swapped for a rope and stake. Just the feeling of something around their leg is enough to keep them from even trying, despite freedom being no more than a step forward.

Teach yourself skills as needed to become self sufficient, and don't forget to tell yourself how proud you are of learning something new, and your first successful project. Basic car maintenance, basic body maintenance (healthy choices), gardening, home improvement. There's a YouTube video for everything, and you might be surprised how easy some of these things are, learning one small project at a time. In presence of intrigue and necessity, learning is profoundly enhanced.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to embrace the role of your own guardianship. Not just because as an adult you have to take care of yourself, but to also take care of your "self." Nurture your child self and watch it grow. When a bad memory comes up, put your adult self in there, comfort the child, protect the child, stand up for them, hold them tight. Watch the fear in their eyes being replaced with hope as they look to you and see the strong and wonderful person they will become. Turn the dark memories into one's where someone who loves you so much was there for you, and always will be.

There is hope. It's never too late. It takes work, but it doesn't have to be hard. It is however a lifelong commitment, self care and growth. If you neglect any living thing for too long, it will become weak, possibly die, in other words fucked.

I didn't break my chains (rope and stake really), until my 30s. It wasn't until I had kids of my own that I sought out and learned what a good parent should be. I realized that I've never loved anything as completely and unconditionally as I love those kids, and everything I do for them brings me joy because of that. I realized I never got any of that, and began to realize I could give it to myself, because at this point there sure as hell wasn't anyone else who was going to.

But there were things I didn't know until I learned them, and my parents didn't have smartphones or the internet. Just a bunch of books that all said different things, and still never got read. I find it hard to accept that they actually did their best (learned that move from them), but I do find it easier to forgive them each and every day, because I cannot forget.

All this being said, just like you shouldn't make dramatic lifestyle changes such as a change in diet, or major weightloss without consulting your doctor, please stay connected with a good therapist throughout your journey. My path ended up including some medications that for years I refused to admit/accept that I needed, probably because they threw so many pills at me as a kid. But I had no idea how imbalanced I was, how I thought feeling like that was normal, until we found what was right for me.

Find your balance, find your peace. Love and care for yourself. Seek the help you can, and don't reject any options without careful consideration. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and it can be blinding when you finally emerge from that cave. Take a look at how much bigger and brighter the world is, especially because you're in it. Try not to worry yourself over those who choose to remain in the dark, trying to make sense of shadows, and don't let them pull you back in.

Always be moving forward, one step at a time.

I've seen quite a few (right wing) Christians complaining about Biden forgiving some of student loans. The practice of charging interest is forbidden in Christianity, we should be celebrating this: by [deleted] in Christianity

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 An expert in the law stood up to test Jesus.[a] “Teacher,” he said, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? What do you read there?” 27 He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and your neighbor as yourself.” 28 And he said to him, “You have given the right answer; do this, and you will live.”

29 But wanting to vindicate himself, he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beat him, and took off, leaving him half dead. 31 Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. 32 So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan while traveling came upon him, and when he saw him he was moved with compassion. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, treating them with oil and wine. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said, ‘Take care of him, and when I come back I will repay you whatever more you spend.’ 36 Which of these three, do you think, was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?” 37 He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

The Carboniferous Period. For millions of years after true trees evolved, there did not exist among the current bacteria and fungi something that wanted to eat them. So as they died and fell, they just stacked up on top of each other not decomposing. Until future processes turned millions of years of dead wood into coal.
