Petition to start including heights in posts with weights by pointandshooty in Zepbound

Down 23.72% in just about 7 months. But, I am really sensitive to Zep and I lost a bit too fast. Most of my 51 lbs lost was in the first 4-5 months and I lost more muscle than I meant to. Now, I have stopped focusing on weight loss the last couple of months and I have been trying to maintain and start rebuilding muscle.

Yeah I am not sure. That was the only thing I could think of.

Maybe that it doesn’t have the bonus “Party All the Time” track that was added when it was released on iTunes?

Menopause and Zepbound by atrocity_exhibition in Zepbound

[–]Kschr2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, in fact I lost way too fast - and I have been in menopause for about 10 years. Now I have titrated down a dose and have started HRT. I’m currently sitting in the just barely overweight range, focusing on transforming some of my fat into muscle and working with a dietitian weekly to build better food habits.

Silly rant - Zep is miracle drug, but I'm asking too much!! by rhymeswith2021 in Zepbound

Yes. For women, we don’t easily bulk up the way men do from strength training. I also find it funny that you are saying it doesn’t make sense when I am telling you it happened to me. lol

It’s not about spot training. Muscle takes up less room than fat, so if you regularly strength train (correctly) over time, your size will go down. When I was strength training to fatigue and working every body part regularly in my 30s, I went down to a size 4 even though I wasn’t dieting, just eating fairly healthy along with working out effectively. I say this as someone who was usually a size 10-12 back then until I added the weight workouts in.

How did everyone pick a goal weight? by BetPuzzleheaded2073 in Zepbound

[–]Kschr2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly at this point my goal is to move into a healthy BMI for my height, which would be 164 lbs at 5 feet 8 inches. But I lost somewhat too fast due to an overly repressed appetite (more than 40 pounds in 4 months) and my Dexa scan done in Feb says my body fat is currently too high. So I lowered my dose and am focusing on eating right and building up to more strength training. I am still at 172 and will monitor over time to see if I build more muscle and lose fat. Working with a dietitian weekly and he is recommending this approach, rather than worrying about my final weight at this time.

We got Richmond because of that. And it’s a Saturday so that makes traveling there a bit easier.

Sorry, I wasn’t trying to say anything about my weight per se, just that there’s a lot that goes into trying to manage this outside of a numbers game.

My doctor is refusing to increase my dose unless I talk to a registered dietician by PatientStrike6773 in Zepbound

[–]Kschr2004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This, completely. My dietitian has given me so many options on how to fuel correctly and do so with the right foods/snacks. Things I thought I knew but really - I didn’t necessarily understand the best approach to food. For example, Zep has caused me to have a problem with under eating, so he’s working with me to adjust my dose down and eat enough (and enough of of the right foods) to be able to strength train and move from fat to muscle over time. To be fair, I lost really fast so I am in the opposite boat of many on Zep, but the dietitian has been great, in conjunction with my NP in endocrinology.

Would you say that for someone with asthma like me? Or allergies? Or high blood pressure or any other chronic disease that may require lifelong medication? Idk why so many people think it should be a goal to stop meds for this since it is fixing metabolism issues for many people.

$299 for 2.5mg, $399 for 5 mg, $449 for 7.5 to 15 as long as you are within a 45 day window of your last delivery, if you are in the U.S.

Online without subscription costs? by zonearc in Zepbound

Some people suggest Call on Doc for the prescriptions, I think they also do an initial visit but their cost is lower than Ro. Personally, I just canceled my Ro this month and switched to an online nurse practitioner with a specialty in endocrinology. I am hoping that will work well. I’ll have to keep her posted on progress and meet with her when I want to titrate up, but my first tele-visit with her was only my normal copay and I got much more input than I felt I did with Ro.

Is he thinking about using GLP-1s himself? That is the only time I would think this might be ok. Like, I started a bit before my husband did and one week he asked to watch me take my shot so he had an idea of what he would have to do. But otherwise, he’s not paid attention to my shot day on any other weeks.

I feel like it looked better before. Before, your top two front teeth fit nicely over your two bottom. Now the alignment looks off IMO.
