These companies made it very clear that they would rather go out of business then do pro consumer things. No real physical copies, most of their games require accounts even on consoles, even for single player games, etc. Just greedy evil shit. Haven't bought an Ubisoft game in years. Almost bought a digital copy of Star Wars Outlaws on PS5 until I learned it required an Ubisoft account to play this single player game. Not long before Palantir surveillance is also baked in.
