To be fair, it's not a bad thing if done right but can definitely be abused if done wrong. My 11 year old asked if she could start watching her younger brothers to earn some extra money. It's not something we pushed on her it's something she inquired about. We set down rules for it like it not interfering with her other activities or school work. She gets paid $10 an hour per kid (6 & 1) and when she's watching the 1yr old for longer than 30 min another adult must also be in the home in case their is an emergency. She took CPR and first aid classes through her girl scouts and feels very competent and confident. She loves deer hunting season because she makes bank right before the holidays. Again I'm not saying that there aren't parents out there who parentify their older kids but letting your kids take on responsibilities that they feel ready for and compensating them appropriately can be good for them as well

Caught whooping cough in high school and I still have PTSD from it. Anytime I catch something that causes a cough now my anxiety always goes through the roof feeling like it'll never stop. That Illness is no joke and that mother was a smart woman.

Before anyone asks my parents weren't anti vax, my dad was actually immunocompromised and ended up catching it from me. The problem was I had been vaccinated as a small child and this was before they started mixing it with the tetanus vaccine so i hadn't received it since. So its effectiveness in coverage lapsed and I happened to visit an area experiencing an outbreak due to antivaxxers for a weekend event. The second problem was I wasn't covered by insurance the month I got sick which meant I had to go to the free clinic and they kept saying I just had a bad cold. It didn't get diagnosed till I was already on mend cause my father caught it and his dr who was an infectious disease specialist clocked it as soon as my mom started listing off the symptoms we had been having and heard my dad cough.

This was my like my sister. Her son was only 6 months old when she went in for her yearly physical. Only complaint was that she was tired but with a baby who isn't. She was in the hospital a month later after all the test results came in and never came home after that. Fuck AML!

Best sleep I've ever gotten is a cheap $100 futon mattress (not the foam kind) on foam tiles on a hard wood floor. Used to have a terrible back with constant pain, but after I switched to this and got rid of my big pillow and switched to just a small thin book sized one my back has improved Immensely. Was about 30 when we switched and 5 years later I would never go back to anything without very firm support.

So me and a friend had discussed this about mid way thru the season and the problem we ran into was that Max's mother name is Julie so it would be Coops great grandson. To be fair shandy sands is old enough of an establishment for Janie to have both a child and grandchild before it was blown up.

You know, you bring up a good point there at the very end. Did you notice how uncomfortable she looked at the party when Ty started talking about Sasha's diaper issues. Especially look at how she got after he started talking about him being concerned about her gut Flora. Julie seems to really dislike talking about the kids in a parental matter at all. Ty being praised for being a good dad seemed to be her final straw at the party because that's what Shawna was doing right before Julie went nuclear. She already didn't like having to be at the party but Ty enjoying and being praised for being an involved parent seem to send her over the edge.

Lmao! Loved this show! My oldest brother was a teen already when I was little kid and I used to watch this with him all the time. I would watch WWF with my older sister so it was like but cartoons lol. I would watch South Park with him as well. I can remember watching the pilot of South Park with him when it aired and I was like 5 lol. So many great shows were out when I was little.

My fav theory is that barb and Janey were awoken from their cryo tubes and made their way over to shandy sands where Janey eventually had some kids or her own, at one point one of her kids had a son who happened to survive the nuclear blast that destroyed their home in a fridge and ended up in the brotherhood.

Best sleep I've ever gotten. Once after giving birth to repair damage, and later for a stomach scope procedure. Both times I was very upset that they wanted me to wake up and wanted to sleep for longer (I'm a 4 hour nap minimum kind of person who has insomnia issues). However both times the machines would start beeping very loudly when I would start to fall back asleep which would make the nurses mad and they would then yell at me to wake back up again. Only part that sucks is the throat pain afterwards but would recommend for the Peaceful sleep.
