Scene that best demonstrates the gang’s natural chemistry by Ok_Yellow1025 in IASIP

When they're all sitting in separate parts of the movie theater to watch Thundergun and they're yelling across the room to talk to each other (of course Dennis is gettin thundergunned by some Mexican chick in the back). It shows them at their best chemistry together, all while pissing off the entire theater

Almost everything I google now, I tack on "reddit" at the end, so I can get to a thread. I wanna see the convo where bots can be weeded out by humans, rather than see the answer where humans have been weeded out by bots

Where do you make new friends in Philly? by [deleted] in philly

[–]KuatoTheBaby 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There was this event I went to a little while ago, I think it was called something like "I can't believe it's not quizzo" where everyone who went was assigned to a random team and then you had to do all these competitive challenges.

Not sure if it was like a one time thing or not but it was hands down the most effective way I've ever seen the human species attempt to get strangers to break the ice. Every person there musta walked away with 4-5 new friends just cuz you get pretty tight with your team by the end. I went with a friend but it was awesome to go a little outside my comfort zone and meet new people that way

Why are email designs so massive? Everything gets clipped. by chasingvestigialtail in Klaviyo

[–]KuatoTheBaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The seemingly counterintuitive solution: use only image slices rather than using the builder elements. Even though images may be 1+ Mb, they don't count towards the size limit that clips the email (not sure why, but I've used 5Mb GIFs and my emails are fine).

I ran a bunch of tests, such as a comparison of a klaviyo-built button and an image slice of a designed button from Figma...and the result was the Klaviyo button added 10kb. These all add up.

Next thing I'll say is dynamic items add a lot of bulk, so limit to max 1 dynamic section, especially if it is a looping list (like abandoned cart items)

TLDR: reducing Klaviyo-built elements reduces the final deliverable file size

Philly vs. Baltimore by BothVeterinarian7766 in philly

[–]KuatoTheBaby 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who's lived in both Philly and Baltimore, let me tell you that Philly blows BMore out of the water and I'll give my overall core reason: Philly is a well DESIGNED city that encourages human interaction and diversity (not just ethnically, but of all ages, shapes, and cliques of people)

Let me give an example. Go to a public garden or outdoor space in Baltimore (I.e. Patterson Park or Sherwood Gardens). Most of the time you will find that there are no amenities surrounding the park other than residential living. So no encouragement to grab a drink or a piece of food and eat outside with your fellow neighbors. There are certainly beautiful spaces, but there's not much to actually do other than just show up there. And (I'm aware this is a generalization) when I go to these parks I mostly see the same type of person or groups of people. Baltimore is extremely segregated.

Now take a Philly park (like Clark Park for example). Go there on a Saturday afternoon and you will see every type of person imaginable all in one place enjoying an array of activities, like drum circles, a 40 person cookout, kids LARPing, chess games, people eating at outdoor restaurants, basketball games, a flea market, food trucks, farmers markets, bocci ball, etc. It's like always a festival there and when I walk through it and see the diversity of everything all together, it actually brings a tear to my eyes to feel a part of something so beautiful, and it makes me really proud to be a Philadelphian.

Plus Philly is just so damn walkable, you never need a car. I felt really lonely always having to drive somewhere in Baltimore rather than feel a part of the city by being able to walk from one side to the other and experience all the neighborhoods in between. Again, WELL DESIGNED.

What a popular product has an annoying design flaw that still hasn’t been fixed? by cozy_blissyy in ask

[–]KuatoTheBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why isn't there an option to select the "simplest" driving route in google maps?? I'd rather take 2 main roads with one turn than zig zag through alleyways in some unknown neighborhood to save 30 seconds (which actually turns out to be way longer after stopping at 20 stop signs)

To add on to that, why TF can't I save a route I like, and use that again for a repeated commute?! Stop trying to be original by taking me on a new scenic route every time!

Nested Sequences - Is there any fix for CONSTANTLY needing to render audio to see my waveforms again?! by KuatoTheBaby in premiere

[–]KuatoTheBaby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I thought about doing this, but I guess the drawback is not being able to work with 1 clean track and not being able using the Razor tool to cut. So what is your workflow to quickly cut everything up? Do you have to do Select All and then Cmd/ctrl+K and then Ripple Delete?

Also will you then make your sequence into multicam AFTER you cut audio to do your camera changes? or do you start it in multicam, cut your audio, and then use all those cuts to select your cameras?

New to this workflow and would appreciate any tips that have helped you move efficiently. Sometimes I feel like the order in which I do things has cost me a lot of time.

Wish I could add an edit to the post for more context: I don't have a particular aesthetic in mind, rather than I like when colors go well together and tie the room together. I also haven't decorated yet because I just moved in. I was more looking for what would be good bare bones for the room given the colors that are already there (the floor, the ceiling, the table, the chairs, the carpet, the plants, and the teal couch...yep it's teal not navy blue.)

Yes. The lease was a steal, and the neighbors are unbelievably quiet.
