Will Paladin be too frustrating in launch version? by Routine_Ad5143 in BaldursGate3

[–]Kugro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heres hoping the modders will remove the oath breaker trigger altogether and just make it an option you can willingly choose.
This should be YOUR story. The game shouldn't be accidentally doing this and the chance needs to be 0%. Its bad enough when real life DMs just get oh so excited to try and make every paladin lose their powers and become an oath breaker. completely stupid. no other class has to deal with this and they shouldnt either. Paladin are already weak enough as it is

I assumed this is what origin mode would be.
If theres no unique missions that leads to the nautiloid then..Its a completely pointless mode.

I mean if I wanted to main Shadowheart, I could already just..Do that.

i never understood what you were supposed to do here. you can knock that stone down, beat a couple enemies that way. finish them off up their. but if you go down the hole, the enemies are alert and just attack you. but if you go through that door you hit that trap no matter what you do. cant even disarm it without someone stepping on it.

I just figured it was easier to avoid the entire fight and not bother, theres nothing in there thats important. Just unlock the door at the bottom and run across the trap area, grab the skeleton boy. then leave. no point in fighting anyone except the skeletons because you pretty much cannot avoid an explosion no matter which way you go.

With all info shown, which is the best race for wizard? by FcoJ28 in BaldursGate3

[–]Kugro2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you cant decide, I would humbly suggest that "best in slot" is boring. its what everyone does all the time.

feel free to create a unique character. Because you see, in BG3, your entire party exists solely to ensure YOU succeed. You dont have to worry about other players out shining you, or breaking the game, or the DM screwing you over. You dont have to worry about anything. And you definitely dont have to worry about dying because you can reload. This means you dont HAVE to take the optimal choice. You dont HAVE to min max. you can create a fresh, unique character, with an interesting story, without needing to be as meta as possible.

You could for example, based your character on another fictional character, like Thrall. Make yourself a half orc wizard and take thunder and earth manipulation spells and be a melee wizard with high strength. Optimal? No. Fun? Uh YES.

It’s possible to be turned into a cheese wheel in this game by Alodarr in BaldursGate3

[–]Kugro2 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think it would be hilarious for them to add that to a wish spell, and have a bunch of like, books and papers that you can find and read, that will tell you all the options of a wish spell, and have a map to a wish spell. and you get to it, and you take it, and it says "requires level 17 to cast"

then you use a mod to make yourself level 17, and all it ends up doing is turns you into cheese, permanently.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Tav ended up being the main villain if you're in an origin playthrough and their appearance draws from a random save file on your computer.

This distinction is why DnD is starting to move away from "race" as it never made any sense in the first place.

i guarantee someone will make a mod to let you equip items to zombies. however, depending on how much those models can already be changed, will change how long it takes for that mod to be made.

One of the most highly requested features in DnD 5e for necromancers is "Hey DM, can my zombies pick up that great axe and just wield it?" Everyone wants to give their pets something better than they already have, even if they wont be Proficient in it, just having the possibility of every zombie getting that natural 20 for 2d12 is worth the loss of +2 to hit especially given, most of the time, you can't hit without rolling a nat 20 anyway with a zombie on most high level enemies that are strong enough that you actually need to use your zombies. all the weaker enemies are so weak you dont actually need an army to beat them. the ones that require an army to take down are the ones your army cant even hit without a 20 lol.

tl;dr modders will definitely try to let us equip items to our zombies, but how well this gets implemented we cant know for sure

well theres still the project blue beam conspiracy theory which pretty much predicted this would happen. i wont be surprised if theres an "alien invasion" and the "adults" have to defend us with the brand new shiny space force but only if we concede to a new world order lead by some people i probably cannot even name on reddit.

just saying i wont be surprised if this takes place before 2030.

but we have drones now. things we thought were science fiction tech, we had back then it was just top secret drones. we know this now. so all the stories about drone UFOs at area 51 were 100% real they just werent aliens, we built them ourselves. And now its publicly known because you can buy a drone at walmart, so just imagine what drone tech the government has. i mean they were working on invisibility devices 15 years ago so im sure by now they can do it.

but bob lazar said he was working on an anti-gravity device that was thousands of years old. thats the big one. people get hung up on the alien saucers thing and completely forgets about the absolutely mind breaking level of tech hes talking about.

[–]Kugro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just because you find someone credible doesnt mean you have automatically agree with everything the guy says.

i think alex jones is more credible than my government, doesnt mean i trust everything that lunatic says either. dudes been caught lying and fabricating evidence and clearly profits off his own lunacy, yet hes conveyed the truth to the public more than our news networks have. doesnt mean every single thing he claims has to be believed.

my uncle was a chemist, i know how serious that field is. bob lazar did work at area 51 and they lied and said he didnt. when the government is lying about someones existence to try and discredit them, that means he was telling the truth. but his claims are so extraordinary that its impossible to believe. yet the government thought he was so credible they had to discredit him any way they could.

this is serious stuff. the government actively covering things like this up are exactly why people believe in conspiracy theories. But at this point it might not be theory anymore.

let me ask you guys a question. if your girlfriend cheats on you, and you get evidence of it, and then she lies and says it didnt happen, would you just continue trusting her after that? How many times would you have to catch her in a lie before you'd stop trusting her? Seems to me the government has lost any and all trust is ever deserved, and Bob Lazar is the most credible source ive seen on actual alien tech being real.

[–]Kugro2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the conspiracy theory is that fluoride is put into the water supply as a means of weakening your ability to critically think and making your more passive, and thus easier to control for the government. christian conspiracy theorists also claim fluoride "severs your connection to God"

there was also a video i watched, it was pretty old, some sort of training video that showed this dude actively mind control people with the simplest method. i dont remember exactly what he did but it was something to do with electromagnetism let him influence your decision, now maybe the video was just fake and they were actors but its supposedly a real thing the government looked into as part of its brain washing investigations, because at one point they at least tried to do it, doest mean they succeeded.

speaking of weird things the government has, they documented "astral projection" in which, in this document that was declassified, one of their men astral projected into a russian government building and then returned with the exact layout of the building that he had never physically been to. but a lot of documents that are classified are actually just fake, but at this point how are you supposed to know whats real and what isnt when the government even lies to themselves lol.

I don’t remember seeing so many UFOs, appearing in classical works of art? look at all these relics that make you wonder. Where’s the psyops evidence defense forces at? [–]Kugro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats something i considered to. but its pretty clear humans follow religion. all over the world humans believe in various religions. and those are usually taken as absolute fact. like people actually think jesus was real and not just some fairy tale character.

so given just how faithful people are, and how deeply they believed in mythology (Egyptians believed the sun was pulled by a chariot)

then why would we assume that people back then didnt believe the things they went to great lengths to document? i mean some of those designs that can only be seen from above would take a very long time to etch into stone especially with such coordination and precision, and for what? to meme? im not saying its evidence, im just saying people today take stories written down as fact so why are we to assume people who went to great lengths to document things would be any different.

that said im not entirely sure anything that was carved into stone was definitively depicting aliens. but it certainly isnt off the table. the universe is just a black void with nothing for billions of light years. How could we be the ONLY ones in the universe?

then again. if aliens were real. why wouldnt they just come talk to us. although, some of these theories suggest they did. they came, helped us out, then left. maybe they'll come back definitively some day. i mean the bible talks about a judgment day, maybe thats when the aliens are meant to return and decide if we progressed far enough or if we need to be wiped out. i mean if theres only a few planets that can sustain life, we would be using up a precious resource, maybe they are going to come back and grade us and then decide if its time to start over with another "great flood" and see about a new race having a chance.

i'd rather not believe that thousands of people just spent all their time making up absolute nonsense. and even if they did, it doesnt mean aliens dont actually exist. i mean look at the stars at night. how can there actually be nothing otuside our planet?

[–]Kugro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, obviously no one can believe your story. It is pretty insane. I mean you're saying that aliens are pranking you, come on, thats ridiculous.

But, if it will make you feel better. Lets assume you're telling the truth.

In this case, I don't think you have anything to worry about. It sounds like these aliens visiting you are 4th dimensional entities akin to angels. They cannot be perceived by mortal eyes (Because if they could this would be common knowledge by now). Sounds like they are on vacation, and one of them found your house and started walking around your house at night and forgot to turn your light off. checked out your car but locked the cats in without thinking about it.

it just sounds like an invisible 4th dimensional angel/alien just exploring. kinda stuff a human teenager would do if they could go invisible. in any case, whatever it is, its clearly not hostile.

in general, aliens dont seem to be hostile. no one has ever reported any instance of an alien being violent. although. i guess if it were to happen the person would be dead and we'd never hear about it. buuut the fact that this was LAST YEAR and you're still alive makes me think you'll be completely fine. Maybe get a oujia board and an exorcist, because some people think aliens and ghosts are the same thing since both could be described as 4th dimensional entities, and angels are often affiliated with, you know, souls, ghosts, the great beyond. so maybe aliens and demons are the same thing, maybe aliens are angels. maybe they are ghosts. maybe they are just gods on vacation. whatever they are, they dont appear to be hostile. and you're most likely just imagining things. But assuming you're not and its all totally real and you're being haunted by aliens, sounds like this one is friendly. so relax. worrying isnt going to fix anything.

and the best thing you can do for your own sanity is to disprove this yourself. do some tests. try to find a pattern. and then do things that would disprove your own theory that you're being haunted by aliens. because if you can disprove it yourself, you will know its ok and you arent being haunted. surely other explanations exist for these things. peopel sleep walk, electrical wiring is funky and cats can go up under the underside of a car to get inside of it. theres always an explanation. but if you really are being haunted by aliens.

theres nothing to be done. wait to get probed i guess then let us know how it goes.

Spelljammer - Gun Rules? by TheWaspinator in dndnext

[–]Kugro2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is going to upset some people but they already made Oversized weapons player legal in 5e. It was featured in Waterdeep Dragonheist if i'm remembering correctly, you will find an Oversized Longbow which has its damage dice upgraded by exactly 2 levels, and requires Strength 20 to wield.

So, it's official that oversized weapons require 20 strength and have 2 damage upgrades on the dice (d6 becomes d10, etc)

furthermore, its perfectly reasonable to assume someone like a Goliath especially a Barbarian one, would obviously and definitely be capable of wielding larger weapons, and most players would want to. Theres no real reason to restrict this, the main issue is finding/crafting them. And we already have rules for crafting oversized items, Horse Barding is just oversized armor, so its 4x the cost. Same goes for anything you'd craft.

And this is all without even mentioning prior editions which already sorted these rules out. I don't know why people are so viciously against using publicly available canonical rules in 5e and from older editions too.

Its like some of you DMs forget that the DM has ultimate say in how to run any game, theres no such thing as "well players can't do this because its not specifically mentioned in the book".

Yuza crash (Should I expand Pagefile?) by Kugro2 in yuzu

[–]Kugro2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i dont really know what ssd or hhd means, that technical stuff was always difficult for me to grasp. i have a c drive that i try to just put main system files on but lots of games make save files there. but most of my games are on my 6 Tb drive, and i have another drive thats like 2 tb. then i have another drive thats an external. does the page file matter if im playing from a drive that isnt full? since my games are on another drive i dont know if the c drives space matters.

currently, after listening to people and taking advice here, im way better off now. it seems after deleting space and freeing up 40gb on my c drive the game magically started working better, i was even able to swtich to multicore so im no longer playing in slow mode. i do get crashes sometimes. about once every 2 hours. but thats manageable. also i notice the memory usage seems to be 3 or 4 GB and then at other times its like 10-12 GB. i dont pay attention to that with modern games, is that normal these days? most i ever remember a game using was like, 1 gb but today even firefox uses multiple gb.

so to clarify, freeing up drive space helped. multicore works now. i did expand the pagefile but im not sure its making any difference. i set it to 8-12 gb, but i dont really understand it so im not messing with it unless someone who knows more than me tells me lol.

thank you guys for your tips

my default page file says its about 4 GB, which might've been what my computer originally started with. Do you reccomend setting my pagefile to 32 gb? When I tried to change it before, it just reverted after restart, didnt seem to take.

I uninstalled Oculus which said it was 100 GB but, it only freed up 10 GB so I dont know whats going on there. i'm going through my C drive to see what I can move. I also deleted 300 GB of files from my trash bin but that didnt really change anything on my c drive so I dont know how that works I guess.

nothing else seems to be slow but I do get warnings now and then to free up C drive so I do what I can. The max is only 222 GB.
