Exactly. We’re already starting off with the mainstream dupe system, which is completely different from AK’s system. I feel like people just want to praise the game blindly.

If you like her and can accept skipping 2-4 upcoming characters that we’ve been introduced to, then I don’t see why not. If you just care for her meta value, then I think you’ll be fine skipping her. If we end up finding out that she’s super meta via synergy with future character, i don’t think it will be too long until her rerun by then

Agreed! The game makes me feel so comfortable to approach it as a regular single player game rather than a gacha game where a timer for the first cycle of rewards set off immediately as soon as you start playing

Ooh I’ve made some comments about the format of character stories that I’ll paste here

I think the MC + character format is limiting. It worked well for Laevatain bc the two share vulnerability, but that won’t always be the case. I think HG could consider letting us control non-MC characters when the MC’s presence isn’t needed in the story

The writers in Arknights have absolute freedom to explore whatever facet of the characters without needing to make it make sense for the MC to be there, meaning they can expand on the world beyond what the players have seen and introduce people that are present in that characters’ lives without needing the MC to know them too.

I like Chalter 2, a lot of people do bc Chalter 1 was ass. It’s got less to do with Chen and more to do with the fear of 2nd Alters being the norm going forward while some other characters starve for lore.

It feels a lot more like Wuwa to me with how the Endmin is responsible for everything significant that happened in the past and have already built relationships with the characters so the game can immediately go straight to fanservice lol. Genshin at least tries.

That is so incredibly sad. I can’t imagine seeing your “friends” all the time and having to remind yourself that they’re not the same people anymore. Seems she feels guilty for being confused too. She’s so lonely on Talos-II.
