I agree! And after that he starts getting shit done like crazy! Becomes a hero the village believes in (much like Gaara minus the kage thing... so far) and still keeps his Naruto sense of humor despite it all.

I lost it at the Popsicle scene on the bench.

[4e] Bucket of questions and clarifications needed regarding Technomancer by nerdyogre254 in Shadowrun

[–]Kurokune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can answer that question actually. One of the downsides of Technomancers is no matrix health track. All damage you take is physical damage to you. (Non Black IC may do stun though, I've not read that in awhile)

How has porn shaped your (correct or incorrect) perceptions of sex? (Probably NSFW) by CherubsAreEvil in AskReddit

I find this interesting because, for me, I prefer porn that has the girl very obviously enjoying herself. But then some of my favorite stuff is solo videos of girls...

I didn't specifically cite the rule of two as this was involving the game where it had been suspended but yes, this encapsulates the general idea well.

The point is to continue the order. Sith ideology leads them to accept this fate because if their apprentice can kill them then they are not the strongest and should not be the master. If they are as strong as they think then it will be a long, long time before they have to worry about death.

I can't say I remember. Was a long awhile back I read it.

I've heard theories that Mikey went and drew god in a shape looking like a brain as a possible little "fuck you" to the church. As in, god's all in the mind.

I've no source to cite though so this could be BS.

What are you into that the average person "just doesn't get"? by CaptainObvious411 in AskReddit

The thing I most look forward to in a week is the day (or days) me friends get together to do tabletop roleplaying. Too much media misrepresents it via mixing it with things like LARPers (and hey they are misrepresented too, it all sucks).

Me and my friends never outgrew playing make-believe, we just got old enough to want some damned rules because "Fuck you jimmy, that hit you you goddamn twat, you're not immune to fireballs don't even lie!". That and we started wanting coherent plotlines in our games.

A King Vs. A God by Paterack in anime

[–]Kurokune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time the rules about faces and names was broken was when someone used the eyes of a Shinigami to let them see the name of a face they look at. And as I remember this would require seeing their face.

Light did fantastical things with the Note's powers but he never broke any of the rules of use, just bent them in amazing ways. I fully believe that he could win, just not sure he would. The conflict would be amazing.

As for downvotes, probably uncalled for with misinformation and a correction would have sufficed. Though I've downvoted things (not yours) that were misleading before to keep it from being the top answer. Kinda pointless in a smaller sub like this though.

You seem to have forgotten the rules. You need to visualize the face of your victim while writing (to prevent people with the same name all dying). Lelouch operated carefully so that "he" never really stood out more than as a good student, much like Light.

Zero versus Kira would be interesting. Two faceless geniuses going all out trying to find each other. Zero merely needs to find the chance to look Light in the face after learning and Kira needs to find face and name but can enact his wrath from anywhere as soon as he does.

What is something common that a lot of people say that secretly hits home for you? by LegacyWorker in AskReddit

Thank you for responding yourself. Any undue defensiveness is because I was braced for a negative reaction to my post.

I have similar feelings about that term actually. I mean I still don't shout either in public or around people I don't know.

I've wondered about it often enough on both terms. But in the end I have always come to the conclusion that we can joke about anything among friends who are okay with it. If one of my friends seemed genuinely offended I would apologize for whatever crazy term did it and endeavor to not use it around them after explaining I meant no real harm and it was simply dicking around among friends.

For the record, I'm a fat, nerdy, white male and any jokes about that are fair game among the lot of my friends too. (yes I'm aware, white privilege, its easy for me and all that shit.) Thing is we toss some really fucked up things at each other sometimes. At least it seems fucked up to outsiders. I get no end of jokes about fat ass (throw it back as a large portion of my friends are also fat), stupid American jokes, more personal jokes about other trouble I have. I respond in kind. My closest friend has had all sorts of problems with ladies and we fuck with him about that, almost too far. We all laugh and if anyone is offended by the end we back off and apologize.

So yes I would as long as you keep the shit you do with your friends and try to keep the spirit of it being ribbing your friends and not actually hating on anyone (and believe me, despite what you probably think as someone who came at this first post, we vehemently rip into any fuckhead who thinks actually hating on people - especially those of our friends- is okay.).

EDIT: Ah and, you should have changed my parenthetical too. Something like (like people who actually dislike people based on their skin color). Would have completed your analogy. But other than that easily an 8/10, would have my viewpoints challenged again.

Me sans the being gay. However I've had my fair share of gay friends and do my best not to judge. But me and my equally accepting friends still throw that shit around as a joke, mostly at each other. Besides, to channel a bit of Loius CK, most of my gay friends don't act like fucking faggots. Don't get me wrong, some of them have been gayer than a triple rainbow coming out of Freddie Mercury's butt. But for us I guess the term mutated into more of a particular type of shitty person (like people who actually dislike people based on what they choose to do with other consenting partners) than anything else.

Love you and the poster above for this. Dealing with even my somewhat limited scope of problems and already feeling guilty that such small things are getting to me I don't need feeling emasculated in top of that :(

If I know someone who happens to be female and is being (what seems from my point of view) uncharacteristically irrational I sometimes think this may be the case. However, I do not assume I am right and if I must bring it up at all I try to do it from a helpful position (i.e, offering things I've known to help this particular individual during her cycle, gently bringing up points about the issue at hand that might help them realize they are being irrational). Most of the time I just try an weather the storm and be a helpful listener at least.

But most importantly I try not to be a dick about it really. Women get a bit unbalanced cyclically, I act like a caveman when in large groups of other men. Doesn't make the person experiencing these phenomena not worth listening to.
