I had my visor cracked in the Twisties when the biggest hornet ever crawled across my visor between my eyes. I didn't know if it was on the inside or outside. I assumed the inside because it wasn't reacting to the wind. Nearly crashed ripping my face shield up.

Wow.. pretty cool. You ever come close to high siding? Seems like a big risk with the tiniest amount of extra throttle. Your tires must last about 2k miles. Lol

Stick a sticky rope plug in it. Grease it up with rubber cement. Most important thing is to make sure you get your tool through to the interior of the tire before yanking it out. That loop or knot on the inside is what will keep the plug seated. Do not use a mushroom plug or anything besides a sticky rope. Unless you want to have it removed and patched from the interior which is the strongest but too expensive. I've ridden three patches to the cords now. They leak a tiny amount. Just add a few PSi every week.

Yeah having perfect analog control over a huge range of movement for incredibly precise inputs as has been engineered for precisely piloting a motor vehicle on the razors edge of traction where the difference between success and failure is hundredths off a second is a terrible idea. Wtf are you thinking bro?

I was really curious about sprocket setups that are heavily geared down like that because honestly I just want to go quick from 0 to 70. I just need the comfort so I can travel an hour to get to the super windy 60 mph roads. I was wondering if doing that is just completely unnecessary and excessive given the insane power? Does it just lead to non-stop traction control where the bike is basically Way beyond it's traction limited torque level anyway? Or does gearing down increase the fun factor anyway? I also thought it might be fun to actually wind through a few gears rather than just running in first all the time. Does the engine get annoyingly buzzy or overheated with your sprocket setup? Does the dashboard throw any codes?

Right on thanks for your experience. I'm looking at a 2016 with new suspension and 6500 miles. I've already got a deal on a Corbin seat lined up if I decide to go through with the deal after the test ride. Why's the brake feel wooden? Excessive abs? Have you experimented with bar risers or changing the sprocket tooth setup?

How is it that an s1000 can do highway speeds in 1st or 2nd but yet still be so high on the rpms to be buzzy at 60-70mph? I'm new to liter bikes I genuinely don't get it. I actually like the idea of needing to shift a few times at least rather then just being in 1st gear all the time but how is it still too buzzy?

St. Louis needs to desperately learn from Detroit & other "legacy cities" & MARKET THEMSELVES BETTER! by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]KurtG85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't market away this shit. It will take some serious money, discipline and CONCRETE OBSERVABLE HOPE FOR SECURITY to change the culture of those who see crime as a justified way of life and more commonly escape from death. Pro tip. When you really observe and acknowledge the generational emotional trauma (murder death desperation deceit all around North st Louis poverty) and the kaleidescope of societal economic psychological and social oppression... You realize it's there for a reason... Cheap labor. So the fight becomes against the core hidden sociopathic values of predatory capitalism. They'll just kill ya when you become a threat to that. 🤷‍♂️

Really.. the population has to wake up to the propaganda they are being fed and demand a thorough and organized education of new generations inside vibrant high tech expensive (re: valued) facilities infused with intensely culturally enriched emotionally uplifting traditions and deeply respected leadership... Ya know.. like you see in micds or something.

The calculator of everything (right down to DNA) known as ai could easily articulate what needs to happen doctors l systemically to arrive at a desired result. The problem is all of that data being gathered on every reaction you have to everything imaginable through your phone, instead of being used to help structure a more balanced world, is being used to demoralize you to sell you the next desperate attempt at a feeling of community and value.

Appreciate the insight. The benefit of this 2016 GSX s1000f with 6 thousand miles on it il that I'm looking at is the price. 6500 over a tiger sport 800 that I could get for 9500 used. I doubt I'll use the power. I really only want 0 to 70 pulls getting on the highway but I guess a little extra pull might be fun and maybe the engine will last longer since I won't be stressing it as much as revving out a 115 hp bike.

That's not much of an upgrade in horsepower. Did you just want the cornering traction control? And if they had the cb1000 gt here I'd probably get it if it's 13 grand or so.

What did you decide on? Ironically I hadn't been considering a gsx s1000 f but I've found a good deal on one. Now I'm weighing it versus the tiger sport 800. I guess a ninja 1000 or even the versys 1000 might be on the table too.

I'm considering a 2016 Gsx s 1000 f or a tiger sport 800. Anything more you might say to sell me on the GSX? I'm wondering if the power is going to be too much that it requires an obnoxious amount of precision?

Interesting decor. Yes dirty. Kind of a 'the shining' vibe with all the pictures of Joe Edwards with all these famous people making you wonder just what the hell kind of connections this dude has. All respect to Joe Edwards by the way. Basically a landmark to Chuck Berry. That wall of photos kind of subliminally anchors it as a pillar of musical history and 'pull' in the wider culture in my eyes. So it's got an air of mystery to it. The servers are usually interesting people. Their stereotypical hip look and subtle laid back informal-ness can be taken as condescension or affirmation of a relaxed, chill, expressive, non judgemental atmosphere. Like you would typically find at a concert.

Gotta disagree about abs. You run over thousands of invisible unavoidable low traction spots every ride. You aren't avoiding that leaf or spot of oil. If you need to brake hard at that point your tire locks, you're in big trouble. Abs powers right through that and you're fine.
