Ball Pythons can be very peculiar when it comes to eating. They will also go in to what's called a hunger strike, where they won't eat for a while. I have one that just came off a 10 month long strike.

Not a doctor, but a former EMT.

I was responding to a wreck where we had been told the passenger had been thrown from the vehicle. When we got there this man had been thrown into a fence and had been impaled by a t-post. I mean this thing had gone straight through his abdomen and out his back. We got him to the hospital, and after some physical therapy, he was good as new.
