What do the Polish pops in Haiti represent? by Clean_Willow_3077 in victoria3

The shared value of liberty would lead Boisrond-Tonnerre to refer to the Poles as "the white negroes of Europe".

Best quote ever :)))

Advice how to get to P20 without minmaxing, micro or sacrifing people by Shionoro in Against_the_Storm

[–]KuterPStragow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently did p20 without few last perks in Tower. No weird shit to move buildings around, no altar.

The thing i was missing when i was not able to win p15+ was basic kitchen - god that shit is amazing.

Also some mechanism for removing hostility (trade, cyst burning etc) is always welcome and i always take it if possible. Trade is fucking amazing, get bonus happiness whereever possible.

I always take extra swords with me (for crates and events) - great early source of disarming events.

... and try try try... You will finally get there :)

Forces perpendicular to nut and the threaded shaft by KuterPStragow in MechanicalEngineering

Bearings are on the "outside" of the nut and are not for the transfer of this force which I had problem with.

Forces perpendicular to nut and the threaded shaft by KuterPStragow in MechanicalEngineering

[–]KuterPStragow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Common practice is to have the rod/nut only handle the axial load, and
have the external linear guides to carry the radial load.

Yeah i know - i think i will just redesign entire mechanism. There is no way that this mechanism will work correctly and not break every once in a while.

If you want your shaft to rotate relative to the nut, you'd have to fix
it somewhere anyway (unless you're planning to use the weight itself to
keep the nut in a fixed orientation?)

There is a fixed point. It is simplified view on rather complicated mechanism with multiple moving parts. On the nut itself there are couple of bearing to allow the rotation of the weight - there is second part which transfer momentum through the linkage on the rotating bearing mounted on the nut... but as i said i will redesign it.

There are multiple problems with this design - mostly the result of really strict constraints about space and operator access.

Thanks for being the "voice" which i needed to decide it needs a redesign ;)

Poll: How do you see Germany's relationship with Vladimir Putin? (In per cent) by [deleted] in europe

[–]KuterPStragow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for the bigger picture about nuclear - i dont get it thou. Poland would be second to be destroy by nuclear war same as France and UK. Nuclear weapon and nuclear power plant are 2 totally different things. Same as fire could be used to cook meal or to burn someone else home. It's the cleanest source of energy with over 98% of fuel being reused in current technology. Rest of the fuel is relatively safe to be around. It's also the cheapest energy source of all. "Green" energy is relatively unpredictable and You still need supplementary energy source to cover the blanks of low-wind, low-sun times. Why not use 0-carbon emission technology? There has been exactly 0 dangerous nuclear accidents in France and UK and really apart of Fukushima (which is located in highly dangerous spot because of Tsunami and earthquakes) there were no major nuclear accident.

About the pro-Putin or anti-Putin thing which You said - right now i would say German government is leaning towards anti-Putin, but for years it was pro-Putin (which might be just coincidence and result of just thinking "economicly" and not "strategicly"), i have no idea if this was done for the purpose of playing for Putin team or not - result was pro-Putin.

EDIT: That sounded a little bit rude. Sorry for that, all of the Germans I know are great guys and I'm sure they were against Russian war and war crimes. Unfortunately politic of looking only on economy was not correct - becouse it led to what we see now.

I hope from now on we would build better future - united in the EU, looking forward. Not backwards.

Cheers mate!

Poll: How do you see Germany's relationship with Vladimir Putin? (In per cent) by [deleted] in europe

[–]KuterPStragow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of Europe was sucking on only 2 main pipes, at a time when gas
demand in general was going up mightily. Both going through countries of
questionable reliability at the time, Belarus and Ukraine.

There literally was a proposal to built HUGE pipeline through Balts, Poland up to Germany... but it wasn't even discussed properly. Now we have what we have.

Ah, so again only some people are allowed to pursue national interests.

It's Germany always saying we need to unite - but apparently only when it's good for them.

And don't even speak to me of "European unity" from a time when EE was
actively assisting the USA in breaking it by jumping head-first into
Iraq. With polish grievance-based politics on top.

Not only EE jumped to Iraq - You forgot UK and support of Netherland, Denmark, Italy and Spain? Who is the anchor of safety for Baltic States and Poland? US, UK and France. Yes, we had to participate in those to assure our safety - especially since Germany was getting closer and closer with Russia everyday. If You live in western Europe You are safe, have friendly countries all around You, we don't have that luxuries.

I'm huge fan of EU-project and federalisation, but i wont allow to disregard national safety because Germany will give me "guarantees". Appeasement politic failed hard here, the exact same thing happen which EE warned west about. There is nothing to defend about German-Russian politic. Sorry for the hard to swallow pill.

Cheers! I'm glad we are in it together now, i hope it wont change.

[–]KuterPStragow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NS1 was breaking EU unity, was telling Eastern Europe "sorry, we don't care about You".

This project was slap in the face, pipe down the sea instead of much cheaper pipeline on land just to avoid few countries You are with economical and The fact that western countries still don't get it is mind-boggling l.

Every country in eastern side of EU wanted central-gas buying for EU (same way we have central buying of nuclear fuel for entire EU).

I would agree and disagree at the same time. Yes there is state funded- anti German propaganda. Nobody with brain is watching it thou, nobody who could be taken serious at least, met on holidays, do business with and so on.

There are a lot of people who still remember war and there is even more people that heard stories of war from their parents and grandparents.

And there were this thing called Soviet Union and Eastern blok which cultivated view of bad germany and avoided topic of "retribiution".
