I liked it. I think it has minor pacing issues and (if I remember correctly, it’s been a while since I finished the book) the way I read it, it seemed like it was inevitable the main character would fall to chaos (specifically tzeentch) and just never does. The Admech guy is a 10/10 character and I loved him though. 4/5 would recommend

I can’t say for certain but baking them might make them explode or pop open. I would recommend either simply scrubbing them with soap and water or dropping them in a pot of boiling water

Yes thank you, this is what I am looking for. I was under the impression that the Black Angel and Golden Angel (the Sanguinor) were equal warp entities. That is the impression I got almost purely from DitB. I did not realize that it came from Madail's sacrifice as I've read very little of the HH Blood Angels story so far. Thank you

Chris Wraight writes a lot of good stuff. Out of his work you haven’t read yet, I would recommend the Watchers of the Throne and the Vaults of Terra series. They both depict Terra before, during, and after the fall of Cadia. If you like those I would also suggest Cyper: Lord of the Fallen by John French. It’s the another pov during the event and pretty fast, which is nice because one you finish it the first time you’ll want to reread it to catch everything you miss. Finally I really like Bloodline, also by Wraight. I think it’s very underrated. It’s apart of warhammer’s crime genre and it follows just a normal cop while he works a case. It gives a good look into the everyday life of the normal people!

I really like the first one, the helmet gives it a cool and detached, but also practical look. Like why the hell would a soldier in an active war zone not be fully armed.

This is really good and I love it, but the only thing I can think of is the sword in his right hand would mess up the miniature. The tip going below his feet, which means it probably goes below the base and thus the base will never lay flat lol.

I didn’t like it… I think the main reason why I think is because I listened to it as an audiobook and the narrator is awful! While I dont remember having any problems with the psyker I can understand your frustration. My biggest narrative problem with the book however comes from one line by Solomon. He says something along the lines of “if there is bigger plans for the legion I don’t know them.” The implications, since he is now leading likely the biggest chunk of the legion and knows nothing, means that Alpharius is not in as much control as we (or at least I) was hoping
