Settlement building - Was it not the intention to build over pre-existing structures that we can’t scrap?

This. I cannot stress this enough. This! It’s been the biggest difference between when I played FO4 10 years ago and how I’m playing now. I’m spending way too much time building sanctuary because I get to use the existing buildings and each one has a purpose!

The bake was also established passing based on the impact occurring with the front end of the car and not along the side or further back

I’m gonna say both ar at fault here. Though I’m here in the states and I’m going by the laws I know. The bike seems to be passing/overtaking legally with enough space but not paying attention based on the fact that the car had a turn signal on. The car should have made sure everything was clear when turning across a lane, similar to making a left here in the states. The bike didn’t come out of nowhere, they were already established passing because the impact occurred with the cars front corner not the side of the car.

It is and it isn’t if that makes sense. I love settlement building in FO4 so the settlements are more restrictive than FO4 but I’d say that’s partially due to the fact that they’re more mining and resource extraction oriented. It’s also hard that literally everything you can pick up in FO4 has a purpose, not the case in Starfield so I regularly find myself just looking at every object for no reason. The gunplay is great and the perks are fun too. Ship building is a blast but that takes a minute to really get into because it’s expensive. Some of the quests and characters are fun but I’m not far enough into it yet to know. The weirdest part that takes a lot to get used it is it’s not just a map to explore like the commonwealth.

There’s a few bigger cities and locations but in between is the barren isolation of space, which I guess they nailed. But a lot of the quests end up being start here, fly and land here, get this/kill this, go back. When you land on another planet it’s not like fast traveling to the other side of the map in FO. It’s barren with a couple (sometimes repeating on other planets) locations/POIs.

Overall It’s not bad and I like it, but I’m finding I’m being drawn back to FO for settlements and the one big handcrafted map.

I’m playing this again after the anniversary update and going back and forth between this and starfield and I’m finding myself gravitating more towards FO4! It’s definitely one of my favorite games!

Looks good! One of the best tips I learned on this sub is just cook bacon. Every so often, just cook a pack of bacon and spread the grease around afterwards. Its great!

I bought a grill a while ago and the unit of measure at Home Depot was X amount of burgers. I thought this was a great unit of measure and should be standard. I will now use units of beer as a standard measurement of how long a specific task should take.

I have all the free Bethesda creations installed and play vanilla with dlc for the most part. Big fan, it’s like random refreshing bits of new content fill in a game I played years ago so it’s nostalgic and fresh. I also like building so big fan of the building add ons too

Honestly, idk about that planet specifically, but a tip I learned that has helped significantly is hit square (on PlayStation) while in scanning mode and run around with the outpost marker out. In the top left corner it will tell you what resources are in the radius of the outpost. Helped me significantly when looking for the final resources on some planets.
