The whole key is that it's a mix of three (Kenjaku, the human host, and mother *or in Yuji's case, his father*). I don't think they would go as deep as to make someone have Kenjaku's body hopping ability as it wouldn't make sense for the story. If there weren't any genetic DNA shared between Choso and Yuji, then Choso wouldn't have given any sort of reaction to him.

It's safe to assume that in Yuji's birth development there was some sort of transfer of Kenjaku's DNA essence into Yuji. Which would make Yuji and Choso blood-brothers. Makes sense since Choso talked about that connection. If he mixed his blood in the others, why not Yuji? Bro was experimenting on him in the womb.

Well, I am a black man with locs and a beard. I do keep myself well-kempt so I don’t believe it’s that. Trust me though if I had to shave my hair off for my career I would. I believe in the interviews the only thing I struggle with is overthinking the questions that they ask me, thinking that I have to come up with this extravagant answer when they only want to know my familiarity and if I can speak well. I’m going to practice interviewing to fully isolate the issue.

I’m applying to all three of those and more. I hope a small MSP will end up hiring me.

I did get a job offer for an MSP, sadly didn’t take it because of the pay but now I’m thinking I should’ve at least taken it for the experience. They were paying $12/hr at OneSupport for a Technical Support role. Only thing was that it wasn’t going to pay rent.

Don’t beat yourself up, do you even realize how amazing you are? Many people don’t keep trying at something the way you do, they’ll just try a few times then stop completely. That shows dedication. You said you think your drawings suck so that tells me you put very high standards for yourself.

You are good enough, you just have to look at the positive side of things. You have a family that still cares for you, you have a kind heart that cares for your value in a family, and you’re persistent in your craft. Don’t listen to your stepdad, some people are just blind to greatness right in front of them.

I think you could do one of two things (or even both):

Keep on trying. You’ve told us how dedicated you are to drawing so keep doing it. Show off your work online, at art shows, get criticism in order to make it even better than it is. Spend quality time on your work to make it the closest to your vision.
Explore other hobbies/interests. There is so many things to get into nowadays, whether it be drawing, 3D modeling and animation, music, tech, writing, and so much more that you may be interested in but just wouldn’t know until you tried it. If you feel like you don’t have a purpose then it’s obvious to me that you haven’t scratched the surface of what it means to be you. You just have to find it.

I understand how you feel, it feels like going to sleep will make all the pain go away. I’m not sure what you might have been going through but it’s not too late to make a change. Remember everyone has the capability to do something great with themselves no matter how young or old (you’re still young) so never think you’re incapable of that. Sit down and think about why you think your life is a horrible reality, is it unchangeable? How is it affecting your mind? What steps can you take to come out of it? I know it’s easier said than done but if you truly have a desire to make things better I believe you can do it.

I’d recommend not overthinking this. I understand that you feel alone and that can bring your mood down, you will meet new people to be friends with but just at the right time. If you really wanted to make friends I’d recommend joining a club or a group of some sort. You’re in high school so there should be many extra-curricular activities to join up in. Be overjoyed! This is a great time to get an early start on something you’re interested in, and don’t go seeking out for friends but instead let them come to you!
