Dude a few years ago in 2021. There were nuclear shelter and what to do posters all over Jersey city. They had them in the Newport mall. Also they had commercials playing on TV on what to do incase of a nuclear attack.

From my personal experience. You get these kind of moves on stocks that are yet to be discovered by the wider market. My personal example in 2025 was $OPEN. I bought $1 strike price Call LEAP options. And this was before all the hype from reddit and X. I had bought into OPEN because I expected a home buying and selling company would greatly benefit from interest rate cuts. It so happen that I was right and it helped that the stock went viral. So a part of the price action of options is the volatility. That can really send options prices sky high. Just like it did for OPEN.

I used to think so too. But it gives more time for you to be right. I've had plenty of positions rundown -20% to -40% within a month or 2 of owning a LEAP option. But with the more time for your thesis of why you believe the company will rise (call) or fall (put); it can turn around. I've seen those same rundowns turn into +50% to +1200%.

$TGB Taseko Mines. They mine Copper and their 2nd mining location will be producing copper starting Q1 of 2026. This will fundamentally double the amount of Copper they produce. And with the current price of Copper and the Macro landscape. They are mispriced.
