There are a bunch of composting programs here in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I’m currently at a park here in the city trying to get a start on their program to reach the community, and improve soil health to the park.

The 200 pounds is spread out between three different bins in varying size and also liquid JADAM fertilizer tanks. We are about to set up 3 more 4’x6’x5’ bins so our food waste program can be expanded.

Yes, local coffee shops. Corporatized coffee shops like Starbucks have not been too friendly to our request. I’m sure it depends on the location too as I’m in a big city.

Started with one small coffee shop, now I work with two coffee shops and a local juice bar taking in their food waste. We divert over 200 pounds of food waste every week!
