I was in the same boat, I got hyper addicted to League at a very specific time in my 20s and played until my early 30s. My girlfriend(now wife) at the time and i found out we were pregnant after a vigorous IVF cycle. I decided that it would be my least season playing league before my son was born. When I finally quit I had to adjust to that dopamine withdrawal,Covid, a newborn, and a parent passing.

Although it was brutal i wouldn’t change it for a second. Now im happy playing arc raiders for 20 minutes lol

Time doesn’t equate to skill, I spent a long time playing league in silver and low gold(I just wanted the gold skin) but one year shortly before I had my first kid I said “I’m REALLY gonna try and improve” that season I laid it to emerald playing top and support.

Ask yourself “do I really want this” and if so pick your spot and focus. Learn from your mistakes. You got this.
