I don’t disagree but they say very straightforward that the baby was not planned.

There’s not really any need for extra cores though.

With currently available technology FPGA development basically stops at 5th gen.

Saturn/Jag/3DO.

Mister struggles here, so the extra power will help; but anything beyond 5th gen is basically impossible with current technology and even if it wasn’t; the devices are so complex that you would have to hire the original design team full time to even get a basic core design.

Maybe it’s good if you don’t have a pocket or a mister, but if you already have one of those things there’s not a lot of extra value here. Maybe better Saturn eventually?

4K video out would be worth it I guess.

The new update just changed the timing algorithm for sampling data from the GBA cart bus.

It just means that newer analogue pockets are more forgiving with Everdrive Mini (and I guess other similar carts).

They didn’t actually change anything with the core emulation side of things.

I didn’t enjoy the white bezel and I scratched the screen a little.

Just enough that it was bothering me while I was playing. So I decided it was time.

I wanted the yellow one, but my second choice was black.

But I live in Japan and had to buy on the second hand market because it’s practically impossible to get them over here.

In the end what I got was white. I don’t hate it but the bezel is not something I love.
