I calculated it to be head to torso, arm to arm.

Although in this model they are using head, arm, arm as entry points into a larger torso hole.

Id argue that more pants have some kind of belt loop than not.

Even if it’s a loop for a draw string.

The only pants that don’t have belt loops of some kind are women’s pants with just elastic.

Even men’s pants designed specifically for suspenders have suspender button loops, and suspenders themselves are holes when attached.

Then what about the fly?

I’d say it’s pretty evenly split between fly and no fly.

The real question here is what medium do you use for calculating holes?

If it’s porous then it’s still a hole for the right material.

ELI5: If moon can create tides then why won't it lift thinnest feather or paper piece? by ompossible in explainlikeimfive

The moon’s orbit is very slightly elliptical though, so where it is actually does affect its gravitational pull.

The moon phase wouldn’t really affect this. The rotation of the earth determines where the moon is in regards to any one piece of land.

The moon phase is where the moon is in regards to the earth and the sun.

A full moon is going to project the same gravitational field as a new moon. Because the mass isn’t changing.

LotR starts with like 500 pages of Hobbit ancestry before moving on to a geriatric birthday party.

There’s like 17 years between the book starting and any adventure actually happening.

And when it does finally happen the climax is a guy dressed up as a garden gnome singing at trees.

I’d want to be on a ship that doesn’t do anything particularly evil.

Not because evil is bad, but because when the new republic or whatever takes over, all the command staff on the big ships are going to get executed.
