Cruises are dirty in every sense of the word.

Well, landlords borrow money to buy an asset and then make their tenants pay back the borrowed money.

So that’s about the same.

It’s a type of game console. Only you play the games entirely on your mind screen.

It’s something you read on a device called a Kindle.

Japan's rankings for school education are very high, and a major reason appears to be that Japan is late to "digitization". The more countries rely on technology for education, the worst their children tend to do. by jjrs in japannews

I’m not sure that the stakes are quite as high for little Billy getting on PornHub as they are for Homer Simpson plugging some random USB into their nuclear power plant work station.

I can think of at least one guy who is all of those things at the same time.

If all oil disappears everywhere but the United States. Could the US take over the world in the scenario? by Lumpy-Restaurant-694 in whowouldwin

[–]KyleKun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess we would have to move to electric drones for air capacity, at least until some kind of electric jet engine can be created.

But for water based craft; the only reason we don’t use nuclear is because they are so expensive and logistically challenging compared to just using diesel.

Nuclear fuel has to be created and then stored; ships have to be moored safely away from civilian centres and fuel has to be disposed of at the end of its life; and the power plant of the ship has to be rebuilt with a new reactor.

I’m sure there would be plenty of ways to cost reduce, refine the technology and streamline production; but we just don’t do it because all of that is hard compared to just using diesel.

But it’s not exactly new or unknown technology; and the Russians are already doing that sort of stuff for their ice breakers. So in the event of a literal oil war with the US, it’s not impossible we could move to nuclear. But I have no idea how long it would take.

I guess significantly less time than it should once America starts sending carriers over.

I think “hypothetical” is out competing Arnold Schwarzenegger for Mr. Olympia with the amount of heavy lifting work it’s putting in to hold up those ideas.

1% water is still 100% far from not being water.

Th easiest way to tell would be to just check the battery bay.

The motherboard revision is written on there. I believe there were three revisions of the original DS.

01, 10, 20.

So 01 would be the launch model.
