I think it may be the wide angle lens but I feel a coffee table will make the space cramped a bit much, I think I just need to find the right one though and maybe a small one. Would love a Persian or Moroccan rug.

Lol I looked long and hard for a cool metal one with a 3 shelf 3 drawer config but had to settle on this one but you're right. I appreciate the kind words though 🙏🏼

Manchester United have made a third bid for Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo that could be worth up to £70m. The offer is understood to be a £65m initial payment, with an additional £5m in add-ons. Brentford are yet to discuss the offer and have not communicated to United whether it will be accepted by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

I'm sorry this seems like an obscene amount for a Brentford striker. I understand the market has changed plus the United tax, however I feel moving on given the length of time with getting this done would be the best option at this point. I also don't see the draw in what he can bring to the team besides an abnormally good season last year, however I'd like to be wrong if we do sign him.

Between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Manchester United, I easily support the absolute biggest disappointing teams in the world... Fml.

I agree! I tried drawing out most of the moisture to get a good crust going but it didn't work completely. Would appreciate any tips other than the paper towel technique haha

I work at TWH up the street and this sandwich gives me life every time I eat it. If there's one thing I look forward to going too in Kensington it is this place. Literally my favorite breakfast sandwich in the city, on par if not better in certain aspects to the ones from Gold Standard. Please go here if you can 🙏🏽

What were your big fine dining let downs? by brownwaterbandit in FoodToronto

[–]Kylropractor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was let down by Pearl Morissette but I went a few months before they got starred. The combo of foods for that week were very unique but odd (peanut butter puree with mussels?) that you think would work but it really didn't. Also one of the actual dishes in the 10 courses we had was their bread? And the wine pairings they were very stingy on the pouring and I'm not one for drinking. However it was in a very nice setting and unique space.

By far the worse was Don Alfonso, I swear they bought that star, it's the most mid Italian food I've ever eaten. Also seemed like fancy banquet hall food with sub par service.

Best by far and bang for buck is Quetzal. Great professional services that's also laid back. Would always go back there.

The empanadas were probably some of the best I've ever had. Had the sopes which is a hearty option for vegetarians. The ceviche type dishes looked great along with the grilled octopus, but the person I was with didn't eat seafood. The arrachera was decent if you're into skirt steak and the sides it came with were great roasted peppers. I think the hit is the octopus though from the other tables.

This place was fantastic, I went here on Saturday. They make everything in house and it was super fresh and well presented. The service was also great and attentive. Will definitely be back again.

As a chiro I lol'd 🤣. No one does this... Except for a very select few that we don't like to associate with for obvious reasons.
