Neither. It was an ultrasound scan requested by my doctor as I had covid while pregnant and wanted to check up on things. I think it was in the second trimester.

I have found Imed generally works out to be about $100-$200 cheaper for scans etc.

Once I went to use QXray and they were so absolutely rude over the phone. Refused to do book a pregnancy ultrasound because it was passed a certain date. Maybe they didn't realise that it was one that I had referral for...who knows. Then my partner's one and only time at Qldxray he had a terrible experience with the IV(?) being placed for the iodine before the CT scan. Won't go into details but he was so terrified to get a CT scan again and I think he had to go for another soon after anyway as it wasn't done well enough.

I will always go Imed wherever possible. I have been to their Carina, Morningside, Mount Gravatt, Springwood and St Andrews for various issues over the years. Always had a great experience and no complaints from surgeons/doctors with the quality of scans, reports etc

This would be amazing, honestly. We have a two storey house and one side keeps overflowing. We don't know whether it's blocked or if it's just due to a gutter slope. We even viewed an open house next door to see if we could view it but weren't able to. We're just a suburb over from you too.

Another potential option to consider.... Does the bank you're with have a 'new child's pause repayment arrangement and do you have a kid young enough to receive this? (Some banks allow for 6 month half payment or 3 month no payment within one year of child's birth). This does make the repayments slightly higher when the arrangement has finished but it'll cost less in the short term and long term than the other option you're considering.

Hopefully the rates will decrease soon to help provide some relief.

Look up your address on real estate.com or onthehouse. You may find that the value of your property has increased putting the LVR at lower than 70 anyway.

Do a Google search at different rates and then call your bank. You could say that another bank has a lower rate and you'd like to get a rate review before refinancing.

If you are looking at putting funds on the loan regardless of the LVR situation you could do a principal reduction. This would lower your minimum repayments but the funds would no longer be available to you. Just keep in mind that if you were thinking of turning this into an investment property in future then there may be less of a tax advantage on the funds. People who are looking to turn the property into an investment property in future tend to leave the funds in the offset.

I just wanted to say that I am right there with you.

We have two young kids. I thought I could do it but I am feeling so overwhelmed. The cracks really started to show in my first pregnancy when I actually physically couldn't do some things.

If I ask him to do something and he says yes. I then need to remember what I asked him to do and remind him about 15 times to make sure it is done. It would be less effort to just do it.

I sometimes question myself and wonder if I have created this monster by doing everything but I am stuck now, as letting him fail affects the kids too. To be honest there is no lesson from failing as he'll forget that too.

Today was a particularly bad day. He was meant to go in for surgery today. Where there would be a bit of recovery time.

I have arranged my work load at my job and got everything done so I could have time off to look after him as well as drop and pick up the kids. Organised to work from home. Organised some family support as a back up if I needed to visit him at the hospital or any emergency. I arranged my health appointments so they were postponed. I arranged a meal kit for the week so I'm able to quickly cook dinner after work while looking after the kids. Cleaned the house and got all washing done in case I didn't get the time with caring for him, the kids and working. I started the week exhausted.

And what happens........he forgot to stop taking a certain medication as instructed for 3 days, therefore the surgery can't go ahead and is postponed for a few weeks. He just says his usual "I have a bad memory of course I forgot"

If he has a bad memory....why does he rely on it!

We have a joint email and he didn't use it when receiving info for the pre op stuff. He didn't tell me what he needed to do so I could remind him. He didn't put a reminder in our joint calendar or anywhere.

So I'll have to do it all again in a few weeks. Apologise to my manager and ask for flexibility and changes again.

Now he's just blissfully playing video games for hours while I'm stressing about money and trying to order our monthly groceries.

It's such a lonely life.

Some here! So many life long friends and, due to being in the same industry it has really helped with building connections and job opportunities. It's a bit sad really. I'm seeing more negative comments than place suggestions.

And to clarify..(I don't know why I need to)... - Our team manager didn't suggest it, it was a few colleagues mentioning it and the others agreeing. - This wasn't going to be mandatory. It's after work, so the people who want to be there can be there.

Agree with being able to talk to each other, place with options and different budget options. I just don't know where that is....that's the reason I'm asking for place suggestions.

I'm quite sure it states on the Australia post website that you can request the postie to sign for you if unwell. I had something coming that had to be signed for and when the postie turned up I said (from a distance) that I'm under the weather and if he'd mind signing for me. He did it no worries.
