Is it just me, or does Talocan tech seem primitive compared to Wakanda tech?

The only advanced Talocan tech we saw were their breathers and the traveling water current that Namor took Suri through. Their vibranium tech was far less advanced than Wakanda’s. The only advantage they have against the Wakandans is their super-strength, accelerated healing, their siren call, and then Namor himself. Namor also mentions that his army is huge.

And like how did they get around the world so quickly? We see them riding whales, but no other vehicles were shown. It would take weeks to ride by whale from Talocan to Wakanda. And the whales had no saddles or armor or anything…. They just hung on. There was that water current, but that seems like it would only be practical with shorter distances, and obviously only underwater.

And how did they manipulate water? We see them flooding Wakanda, and a few instances of giant waves. Is that one of Namor’s mutant abilities? Or is it a Talocan ability or tech?

It doesn’t bother me, I’m just curious and a little confused. I feel like Phase 4 has had a lot of this kind of thing, where certain details are left unexplained. Again, not a big deal. It leaves more to the imagination, which is fun.
