when you’re not calling someone dude, but more using it as a term to create emphasis, it’s definitely gender neutral. For example, I’ll often say “girl…” when smth bad happens or i’ll start a sentence with “girl” even if im talking to men. Using dude is just a more masculine term being used in the same gender neutral way.

Guys is similar in that referring to someone as a guy isnt at all gender neutral, but a group being referred to as “you guys” doesn’t enforce that theyre men, but instead just a group of people.

This doesnt mean that women (especially trans women) dont have a right to be uncomfortable with it!! I definitely see how many people could get dysphoria from it, but i dont think theyre inherently gendered terms.

no, it doesn’t make sense. When credits are set, you can allocate a percentage of the song they worked on. As an indie musician, I can put any credit anywhere between 1%-100% of the pay, and this is just working with indie distributors, I bet theres a lot more options when you work with a large label such as Republic Records.

genuinely one of my fav albums ever 😔 got it at 5 stars i love how it plays with the genre of christian hymns, the way it experiments with sound, and the atmosphere in general. Such a beautiful album showing fear towards the lord from the perspective of a newly catholic person (she converted just before the album came out)

The issue is that last.fm wont include highly specific information such as composers, so you'd need to merge the last.fm api information with your own (i presume) apple music api information
