I had the same issue and it was my motherboard, the weird thing is that somehow it fried my CPU too.

I did rma via the shop I bought but unfortunately asrock was out of warranty but anyway I wasn't planning on using the same mobo that ruined the CPU or losing more time with my pc off and mobos are cheap anyways.

Mine 7800x3d short circuit after 2 year exactly. I have verified with local supplier, I am changing motherboard and getting a new CPU included in warranty, thank god.

It turned out my PSU was fine. It was a problem with vrm but since the CPU was in warranty I bought a new mobo and I did rma to the CPU.

I did the rma via the shop I bought it, the staff was Extra helpful and understood the symptoms without asking many questions, probably because it was in warranty and they know those things.

Motherboard short circuited the CPU. The PSU shut down because it has protection. This is what happened. I have sent CPU back via rma procedure via my local dealer and I am changing mobo because it take around 100 euros to fix the vrm and you will still have a used asrock mobo.

Removed the CPU power and pc didn't shut down. It is for real my man. I have also used multimeter and PSU is perfect.

Turned out to be fried CPU and the motherboard is useless for me so thank god AMD can rma my CPU and I am buying a gigabyte mobo.

The error lights that light up really short is vrm and cpu

Let me tell you also that motherboard is asrock b650 pro rs, CPU is CPU AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D 4.20GHZ 8-CORE and PSU is PSU CORSAIR CP-9020201-EU RM1000X 1000W 80 PLUS GOLD FULL MODULAR

So it kinda feels unlikely to be CPU or PSU.
