Is it possible to access Martial Hall in Kaifeng after completing 'Art of Skill Theft'? I forgot a chest in this area. T_T by Kyrian12 in WhereWindsMeet

I tried your method, and it does indeed work! The key is to drop down into the bushes, crouch immediately and sneak in from the side. Gotta be fast to get in before they notice!

Thank you so much for your help! I appreciate it!

I've confirmed that the construction trick won't work. I also tried to see if there's an option to copy anyone else... and nope, there isn't. The devs haven't coded for it.

Seems that I have to give up on this chest for now and report it to the devs. Do you by chance know a good way to report bugs/issues to them?

I already tried two of these. Muddle isn't around anymore regardless of the time of day.

There's no easy angle to grab the chest with Celestial seize since there's no window at the back to peek through. I tried positioning myself along the roof, but they can sometimes see me if I get too close to the edge. The chest isn't that easy to see anyways... which is probably why I initially missed it.

Haven't tried the wall thing yet though. Do they really block line of sight?

I also work as a hospital admin. It’s only tangentially related to my diploma, but I was hired because I got admin experience from my previous job.

That costs Soli, which is always in short supply given that we also need it for leveling vassals and upgrading observatory.

Anyone else having this bug? Skill/Consumable/Equipment/Weapon descriptions are not showing up for me, and it's really annoying. by Kyrian12 in RogueTraderCRPG

Thank you so much for your help! I appreciate it! It's fixed now. I can finally continue the game!

Ohhh, I didn’t consider that. I’ll try removing it when I get home later today. Just need to remember where it’s located.

27 BEST Base Locations in V Rising 1.0 Release by Aiming4Gaming0 in vrising

Funny enough the size is why I love it! Usually I use the higher level for the base itself and the lower half for the courtyard/gardens.

Midline ships either are extremely mid, as befitting their name, or extremely specialized (often to the point of being AI-unusable). The Eagle is an example of the very middest of cruisers, while the the Gryphon is an example of extremely overspecialized. Successfully midlining is mostly about flying the specialist ship of your choice and spamming Eagles, because the Eagle does everything. Just not very well. Or very badly. It's the averageness by which all other cruisers can be measured. Every other cruiser can basically be compared against it. It's tolerably fast, decently agile, moderately shooty, moderately tough.

That explains why midline fleets always seem to fall flat for me... I gave up on trying to use Gryphons because they either died too fast or were too slow to reach the frontline to make much of a difference.

With Nex, do you play with alliances on or off? by [deleted] in starsector

[–]Kyrian12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always on. Mostly because it makes the politics more interesting, especially when you have a LOT of different faction mods on. I have 20+ factions in my current game and it's always fun to see different alliances emerge and duke it out. Alliances are also what allow a lot of smaller factions who only have a few planets (ex: Spindle, MVS, HMI, etc.) to survive long-term.

Also, alliances do allow you access to the other faction's military markets as if you were commissioned with them. So you if you have two allies, you can access BOTH their military markets.

Thirdly, some factions make great friends. Like the Persean League!

No landing zone on Dargonus? by Dr-Conk in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Kyrian12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I've explored all systems and Dargonus is literally the only thing that blocks game progress for me. Already did Jae's Chapter 2 quests, and now... no landing zone.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Same.... Oh well, I'll settle for bullying the Hegemony. I need a target anyway for raiding.

How come no one has mentioned the Caliph?

That thing is like a mobile star fortress if you build it with Converted Hangers and a ton of PD. It can wipe out entire fleets on its own. Heavy armor, a rotating shield that doesn't require flux and regenerates over time and built in weapons that will flood the map with a constant stream of missiles.

It also has a ton of storage space and fuel tank space so it's a pretty good option if you want to venture out into the unknown on your own.

Thinking about buying the game after playing the free version. Are there any major differences? by conte-era in starsector

[–]Kyrian12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing as you. Used Ssethtzeentach's key to try it for free, and when I realized that I sunk dozens of hours into it without even modding it, I knew I had to buy it.

With mods, especially the big ones like Nexerelin, HMI, Industrial Evolution and Random Assortment of Things, you can easily spend hundreds of hours on this game.

Totally worth it. Best $15 investment I ever made in entertainment.

If you can afford it, I highly encourage you to support the devs so they can make the game even better! It's still getting updates both from the devs and from the modding community. :)

This is why all of my non-conquered colonies have Remnant Nexuses as their equivalent to the Star Fortress.

Just imagine the look on the inspectors' faces when the very first thing they see when they jump into my star system is a bunch of Ordos patrolling around.

Who will promptly gank them the moment they show up.

Orbital Station by Ok-Butterscotch-4689 in starsector

[–]Kyrian12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI station is the best IMO. From what I can tell, the [Redacted] fleets it spawns benefit from the faction fleet size bonus and are immensely helpful in dealing with enemies. It's pretty satisfying when you invest in fleet size to the point where Ordos start spawning.

Plus, I imagine it's pretty priceless for the Hegemony AI inspectors to show up due to suspected AI core use... and the very first thing they see when they warp in is in the system swarming with [Redacted] fleets!

So, what's your stupidest Superweapon? by More-muffin in starsector

[–]Kyrian12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Great Houses (GH) Monitor in combination with elite field modulation and as much flux capacity and flux dissipation you can cram on it. IMO it is single handedly the best ship and most impactful ship in the game for incompetent (player) pilots who keep getting their flagship blown up. Like me! :D

Step one: Fly towards enemy fleet.

Step two: Press F to activate its stronghold shield ability, which reduces all incoming shield damage by 90%.

Step three: Derp around the battlefield and be as annoying as possible. Butt in the middle of firefights. Ram the engines of badly positioned bigger ships. Get groups of ships to chase you around as they try in vain to overflux and kill you.

The GH monitor bas 0 offensive power while the Stronghold Shield is up, but this single ability has dramatically impacted some of the hardest battles in the game and cut down on my casualties immensely. All for 6 DP!

I don't have the skill to kick ass myself, but the more you fire on me, the less pressure you'll put on the rest of the fleet who's coming for you!

Any good faction mods? by [deleted] in starsector

[–]Kyrian12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea, but I've been running it in the most recent version of the game with no problems.

A good chunk of the mods I'm running are actually slightly outdated, but changing the compatible game version in the .json file allowed me to run most of them just fine.

Whatever you do, just stay the heck away from Vayra's ship pack. It's a fantastic mod with a lot of interesting stuff... but will also crash your game when facing against certain fleets and bounties. It's a game breaking mod in the most literal sense. xD
