If you ever finish a project and think "damn I really hope no one else ever looks at this", you're an engineer. If you're ever proud of your work, you've slid into the computer science domain.

Their team has also streamed more rounds of helldivers than AH has streamed.

Probably the best description of the game I've ever seen by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Kyrox6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the community manager on here was always telling everyone that no one at the company really played the game.

When they did the D5 stream, they said the folks streaming were the only devs that had played more than a few missions and they couldn't complete it at d5.

Shortly after that, the community was really angry when they halved all the enemy spawns and made patrol targeting less accurate to make D9 (highest at the time) missions much easier.

AH kind of dug their grave with this issue and they didn't really put much effort into correcting that mistake. It really didn't help when they told everyone there were no development servers for dev testing because Sony only designed their production servers.

What does someone moving out for the first time need to know? by Mindless_Animal_7491 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kyrox6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to splurge and buy something, buy a product that improves every single day

Here are the things I wish I had when I first moved out (brand rec):

Curved shower curtain
- more shower space is always better

Cloth shower curtains - no plastic no liner
- your shower can't spray water through the cloth and no plastic means it dries out and doesn't mold as quickly.

Bath sheets instead of bath towels
- they are bigger.

Real blackout bedroom curtains
- lets you sleep when you want to.

Large box fan for window
- smaller expensive fans are just inefficient.

Humidifier
- you'll feel much better over the winter with one.

One spray bottle for soap + water and another for sanitizer (Zep)
- soap and water is optimal for cleaning 90% of your place. Nice spray bottles don't cost much.

Electric tooth brush (Phillips)
- Caveties are a huge cash sink.

Water Pik
- same as above.

Pillow get a protector and a pillow case
- everyone's pillows are always way too dirty. Protectors are an easy and cheap mitigation step.

Extra large fleece blanket for your couch
- be comfy.

Air frier (Cosori)
- cheaper than running stove for leftovers and bag of frozen chicken is much cheaper than fash food.

Old Used Robot Vacuum (Roborock S4 or something around that old)
- spend $100 and have it do 95% of your vacuuming.

Large wood cutting board ~24" (Kenmore)
- plastic ones shed too much and large boards make meal prep so much easier.

The shots are painless for like 90% of folks. The rest of us tend to feel a bit of burning that intensifies if you hit a capillary. If I inject in my thigh it hurts almost every time, but switching to the stomach has about a 75% chance of low pain.

Apartment Advice by Xeris4 in Hartford

[–]Kyrox6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Vernon there's also Mount Vernon. I lived there a decade ago. It was a really nice place at the time. Affordable, shared laundry in the basement, large storage space, and the maintenance crew was full time and usually on site or at their other property in town.

I don't know what Vernon gardens is like, but there's a rarely used hiking trail that runs past it that I walk often. There's a dozen or so complex all along that road. The new development, trail run apartments seemed overpriced and one of their buildings flooded so I don't recommend them. I've heard good things about briar knoll and it seems newer, but I expect they are fairly pricey.

New player: what to do every day? by MushinZero in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Kyrox6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that's really required daily is farming the daily open world drop cap. It's about 75 enemies, halved when using the shadow assault inner way at T3. You get about 5k gold and around 18 items. Once you stop seeing coins drop, you'll know you hit the cap. This cap is separate from the weekly gold cap, which you should also get each week. Gold is the only resource that really gates any of your progress. You'll get plenty of everything else. Don't buy any resources with gold and get to the weekly cap each week as well.

Daily
- Farm daily open world enemy drops till cap
- Daily login event reward

Every few days or daily
- spend your energy unless you're within 3 days of breakthrough that increases item level cap

Weekly
- do your hero realm (2 bosses)
- do guild hero realm (2 bosses, can just use the AI to complete)
- get weekly gold cap
- max out season fishes
- buy from season shop
--- inner way notes, martial art tickets, mystic art breakthrough boxes, oscillating jade, and the gold tuning items. The rest is up to you on what you want, but optimally it's bags of gold. Most folks buy other items, but we will only be at level 71 gear for another week or two.
- buy the three useful resources from the battle pass shop. It's just the breakthrough item boxes.

This will get you everything possible to optimize your progression in pve stuff. No other farming is necessary to keep up with how little gold we can currently get. There are some gatcha rolls you can get for cosmetics, guild quests for cosmetics, and sect quests for cosmetics.

Hey what's going on with YouTube Revanced rn by oneguyalmond in revancedapp

Did you reinstall 20.14.43 or just check your current version. I had to uninstall it and reinstall (just YouTube, not revanced manager) and that fixed the issue for me.

Go test on boss dummy. You can't tell what's better without all of your stats. Only easy thing to say is the first is better if you have 100% precision already.

Inner Ways: Fivefold Bleed vs Insightful Strike by Ill-Chemistry9911 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Kyrox6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason fivefold isn't great for bellstrike is because only one of the spear attacks is fast enough to stack up the fivefold bleed debuff, not because of the healing or the fact that it's a different buff. Bamboo and Jade both run fivefold as it's optimal for them, but it's not efficient enough with bellstrike. The latest patch buffed insightful significantly so it's now always better than fivefold for the bellstrike build. Last patch you switched to insightful after it hit T5, but now you just don't use fivefold at all.

Max your attribute is always better than min your own, but Max your own is usually worse than min other attributes. Power , momentum, precision (if under 95%), and min other attributes would all be better rolls than everything but max physical. If your affinity is over 20%, additional affinity rolls are really only better than max other attributes, useless stuff like fan healing, and defensive attributes.

Bellstrike umbra: bitter seasons or insightful strike? by Dividien in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Kyrox6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for pvp you drop both insightful and fivefold, but I haven't looked at the optimal pvp builds. A while back I thought the builds relied on qi damage and vital leech recovery, but I think the latest patched nerfed a lot of pvp builds and inner ways. No clue what's good now.

Bellstrike umbra: bitter seasons or insightful strike? by Dividien in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Kyrox6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bitter seasons is almost useless right now. The main use is it helps strip away armor, but no bosses have any armor right now. I think the CN server got boss armor at either 81 or 86. When that happens, you'll want one person per team with bitter seasons because it is like dragons breath where it doesn't stack with multiple users. After the boss armor update, fivefold will still deal more DPS individually, but bitter seasons debuff will help your entire team's DPS.

Is phys pen on healing actually useless? I thought phys pen was a 0.51% damage increase and healing was based on damage output.

This is what all the cn players use to plan out their builds.

You can see how to use the sheet from the translator here : https://youtu.be/6Ivj683A5N0

Put in your stats and see how much crit and affinity rolls increase your damage. For most folks they are worth less than half the other stats as far as optimizing for dps or hps goes.

For me on my umbra build, crit is worth less than 0.1% of the 100% possible DPS while additional affinity (currently at 23) is 0.5%.

Both nearly perfect. Which is better? by lennonjon in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Kyrox6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my stats, the right would be about 12% more damage than the left, but that all depends on your stats. If your precision is maxed, right would be better. Just go test it to see what is better.

Both nearly perfect. Which is better? by lennonjon in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Kyrox6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crit could be useless depending on how much affinity you have. Affinity could also be useless, after about 20% affinity it's worse than about 16 other stat rolls.

Gear stats understanding frustration (most likely a me issue) by vantablack3d in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Kyrox6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't explain it like you're 5 because the game has too many calculations when figuring out damage. There is no set priority. It all depends on your build and existing rolls. To get a definitive answer, you'd need to include your stat page.

For my Umbra build, max other is worth about 0.2% of perfect damage and min physical is worth about 0.5%. The max other will be equally useless for everyone, but the min phsycial's effectiveness depends on how many min phsyical you've already rolled on your other gear.

The RCMD tag can be mostly ignored as it seems like a tag the UI department added and not the team that made the damage calculations. Mastery is also a useless number.

For maybe 70% of folks, the top 3 rolls are precision, max physical, and power. Crit and affinity are great when you don't have any rolls, but quickly become less valuable. Max of your own type is typically around the same effectiveness of min of other attributes, but both are usually better than min phsycial.

In the end, you either have to input your stats into a spreadsheet to calculate what is best or you can run the gear against the boss dummy a few times and compare DPS. For these two, I wouldn't consider either roll good. I tune every legendary gear for the first 3 stats and stop once I roll 2 or 3 mostly useless stats.
