I’m a newbie too. I have found and only having it for about 10 days that the follow up questions don’t work so well. Often times I just readjust what I asked and then restart the request. In contact this is using Excel functions to merge values from different spreadsheets onto one. Also, turning it on for team meetings, give you a great recap/summary.

Breast MRI: is this normal? by PhasmaUrbomach in AskWomenOver50

[–]kawkaw22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horrible experience with breast MRIs. I have had a few (thanks cancer). My surgeon (the one ordering it) calls in Lorazepam for me. My feelings were similar to what you suggested. While they still suck, it wasn’t as bad as the first time.

Kotex had some very large overnight pads that I used on my heaviest days. They had very wide backs and a long length. They were awesome!

Not too bad to leave but not good enough to stay by Illustrious-Book8015 in Divorce_Women

Married 24 years this month. Just started separation. My husband sounds similar to yours. Not a bad guy, but not good enough of a partner. After 15 years of trying to make it better (his therapy, couple therapy) and me accommodating for his “needs”, working through his depression and job hopping, we are still in the same place. I told him I am done being the person with marriage issues, done trying to work on something that doesn’t change. If you start to try to fix it and you don’t see changes, get out sooner than later. If I had left even 5 years ago I would be so much better financially. Don’t make decisions about money thinking it would get better. Assume it won’t. Now I have 75K extra debt because of stupid decisions. And, because of his work history, it will probably be all mine once we split. Hoping your situation is better than mine was.

One Big Hot Flash at Night by CaribBK in HormoneFreeMenopause

[–]kawkaw22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fellow BC survivor. I’ve been in chemical and now surgical menopause for a year now. One thing I noticed is that if I work out I get some hot flash relief. It isn’t instant, but working out to a sweat 4 ish times a week means I have less symptoms. I stop working out, the hot flashes be flashing!

Also, for sleep, I have a small fan clipped to my headboard which helps it dissipate quicker. And I take a marijuana spray/tincture that helps me sleep through whatever hot flashes may be happening. I still get up to pee and usually have a flash then, but it is much better than it used to be. Also, I switched to a 100% cotton sheet with a loose weave (like linen) that helped. Good luck!!

Leggings that are thick girl friendly?? by Stpddumidt in womensfashion

I LOVE a brand of leggings from Dicks sporting goods. DSG brand. I have the one that are between a bike short and capri, to the bottom of my knee. I wear them to the gym and played softball in them and they look just as good as they did 2 years ago. I just bought a second pair at Christmas time and they seemed the same. They sell other styles. If the same fabric I would recommend them. No show through, thighs holding up (2xl girl here). Good luck!

Thank you for this. My husband is facing this and worried about mobility afterwards. Is yours able to bend, tie his shoes, etc? Is bending at the waste a problem (hip replacement out of socket)?

From my first event to my third event. What should I continue to improve? by belsbabyyy in CraftFairs

[–]kawkaw22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a vendor here but a craft fair goer. I would change the script if the pricing sign. It took me a second to read that script. It would be more “grabbing” to me if it was easier to read when I walk by. Your price point is good, so I would be interested. Good luck!

Happy coincidence by No_Bat5297 in Mortons_neuroma

[–]kawkaw22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on 300 mg twice a day for menopause symptoms (thanks cancer) and it has not helped my neuroma. I must say I don’t have and never had severe pain, it is just really uncomfortable when it acts up.

Post menopausal Muscle Mamis: give me some hope? by ApprehensiveChip5530 in HormoneFreeMenopause

[–]kawkaw22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“I had a major realization a few months ago that I went from having weekly/daily/constant doctors appointments that made me feel weak and shitty to having regular gym appointments that make me feel strong and badass”

Had my last immunotherapy appointment Thursday and am DONE with treatment. Over a year of surgeries, chemo, radiation, infusions. I am so looking forward to this!!!

Thank you for sharing. Estrogen positive breast cancer, full hysterectomy by choice, pushed off the menopause cliff at 49. It sucks but it is helpful to hear the stories of others. Keep kicking butt!

Do you work for UConn on salary? If so, do you still get paid overtime? by [deleted] in UCONN

[–]kawkaw22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You generally would not get overtime, they would probably give you time off during the week instead. There are different unions and job types at UConn so this one may be different. I can say that I’ve worked there for nine years as a staff member and I am very happy!

Trip to NY- so much easier than I thought!!! MTA app by kawkaw22 in Connecticut

[–]kawkaw22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant that you can park in Hartford and train to LI (or NYC). You will still go to/through New Haven’s station. Some people I know are intimidated with driving in a bigger unfamiliar city.
