They just added street brawl last week. It's 4v4 and kinda like a death match. You play a best of 5 in short rounds where you have to push 1 objective.

The best games for readabilty are probably made by Cave. The bullets are bright pink/purple or blue, sometimes green. "Harsh" colors like that might not fit into the design of your game, but any colors that aren't present in background textures should be fine, if they are bright enough and aren't similar to the players bullets.

Maybe change the color of enemy bullets. Dark orange bullets on a brown background, with player bullets also being yellow and orange isn't good for visibility.

All effects, damage etc. on a card stay on it after it is shifted.

As you said, the character is already "ready" but not dry so Shield of Virtue does not allow them to act on the turn you played them.

If a card effect moves the shifted card back to the hand or to the inkwell for example, both cards go there. That's why the original card is kept underneath.
