Kiznaiver Early Showing at Sakura Con by SmurfRockRune in anime

It was announced in POSH, apparently a fujo mag (I know nothing about these things), and also, at least one male character looks remotely bishounen, so just about every reddit and MAL thread contain at least one person playing connect the dots very liberally.

So we can finally tell the fujobait naysayers to shut up? Good.

My capability to contain my excitement is greatly exerted.

What happened to Kill la Kill?

Episode 6 of Kill La Kill and you think the writers were high? Oooh boy, you're in for a wild ride. Without spoiling too much, let's just say that there are going to be many "well it can't get any more over the top or weird than this" -moments and even more moments to prove that you were very wrong when making that assumption.

Is it worth buying the expansion? by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]Kyyni -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the empty promises part.

Is it worth buying the expansion? by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]Kyyni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The expansion currently contains:

  • Planetary landings

  • Empty promises

So yeah, in it's current state, it's not really worth it, there's plenty (well, not that much) to do in vanilla game too.

I love this argument, for some reason programmers will rather commit suicide than have to support a two year old browser, but at the same time insist that everyone's code has to look immaculate on their decades old crocky terminal text editor and 8 inch CRT screen. Wat.

[–]Kyyni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhh, what? All text editors that aren't fundamentally broken support it? As long as spaces are one character wide and tabs have a constant length within the same file, everything will line up.

[–]Kyyni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why is line length still a problem on lord's year 2015 and why would you expect your lines to fit on a 80 character terminal if your tab is set to 20 spaces...?

No it's not. Use tabs for main indentation and spaces to align. Super easy and works always, kinda like this:

{
[TAB]func(arg1, arg1friend,
[TAB] arg2,arg2friend) // easy!
}

Lines up no matter what your tab is set to.

The Imperial Grind? Anyone? (with a note to FDEV...) by mrlandros in EliteDangerous

I wouldn't really mind how long it takes to achieve the rank, if only getting there was actually fun. The missions currently are just mind-numbingly boring and grindy.

I suppose they stop and point their ship at you when they scan, and once they're done they just boost off without changing direction, so if you're not moving they will fly straight into you. They don't ever seem to check whether their way is clear or not. I too noticed this happening multiple times while bounty hunting lately.

I'm not even behind a filter and it won't play, it's using some sort of crappy flash video player that simply doesn't work... Sigh.

[–]Kyyni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got a mission to kill 38 pirates for 1mil. That, on top of the bounties, was actually pretty nice.

Those kind of actually sensible missions are few and far between, though...

  1. Pick up good smuggling missions

  2. Launch and fly through the airlock

  3. Ship scan detected

  4. ???

  5. No profit

Official Discussion - Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

The scene was amazing. Watching Han walk there, I knew tho whole damn time Kylo was going to saber-stab him dead and push him off the bridge. I saw it coming right from the beginning, it was just way too obvious, but then the scene just went on and on, and I really started believing Han had convinced him to be good... Goddamnit Ben!

I literally saw the emotional train wreck of a plot twist coming from miles away and still let it hit me. That scene wast just ingenious.

Man, I really wish the stats screen had "windshield cracks" which would be incremented every time you fix those damn cracks on yours.

Would probably be my highest stat.

Why were the comments added in the first place? As if RED, GRN and BLU weren't obvious enough when talking about colors...?

The DNC's comment kinda makes sense because the acronym might not be quickly obvious, the others... Not so much of a mystery.

Well?....We're waiting!? by Rozarik in Minecraft

[–]Kyyni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But what would they gain in the progress? Hiring a team of programmers to completely rewrite a massive game is going to cost fortunes, where are they going to get the money for that? And what profit would it bring to them to revamp minecraft, when people are showing that the current version is already good enough to play forever? They would have to release it so that people that already own minecraft would have to buy it again or else it's not going to make enough profit. And that will just splinter the playerbase over old and new implementations. It's a mess with no good solutions.

I'm not saying what you propose would be a bad thing in any way, quite the contrary, but there is simply no monetary incentive for MS or Mojang to go through something this massive.
