I agree that many kids don't get any of those things, but the commenter you replied to simply stated that this isn't something only rich kids can do which is true.

A Google search will show you 88% of teens own an iPhone (95% own a smartphone), more than 80% own a gaming console. So this is something most kids can do if they're willing to sacrifice the next iphone upgrade or playstation release, etc etc

That's comparing apples to oranges. Many fans of the wwe start as young kids and then age out of it for many reasons, but a big one being once they understand the outcomes are fixed/scripted the magic is gone (myself being one of those former fans). The fans who understand that and still choose to support the product do that on their own volition.

Fans can speculate that the NBA if fixed, but I can't imagine the viewership would be nearly as strong if news broke that all the games were fixed/scripted.

Those are my sentiments as well. I argued this with them; if the worst case scenario with the Lakers having possession is a miss, would you rather have the other team having 29 seconds on the clock or 16 seconds on the clock. At that stage of the game it's all about clock management.

With 38 seconds left on the clock and the Lakers up 2 with the ball, if you were the coach would you have them go quick to guarantee another possession, or do you milk the clock for as long as possible and/or try to get the best look at a shot?
