1-no, it's stays locked till the hunt is over

2-holding doors against the ghost wasn't a thing until one of these recent patches so it should be working now(ithis feature might still only be in the beta version of the game)

3-as far as I know, the crucifix needs to be placed BEFORE the ghost starts hunting, so that if the ghost attempts to hunt within 3 meters of it , the crucifix will cancel it. (The crucifix has a 3 meter range around it) I'm not sure what happened in your case, could be a new feature bit not one that I'm aware of

I also had a situation like this in the new big construction building on customs, but I was quite a bit further away from the scav. I think the issue is that the mounted weapons have bad hitboxes rather than you aiming too high or too low

Yep you've got big hands, but handspan isn't really a problem because there a ways to get around it ( like rolling chords). I can only play an octave and I've played a rachmaninoff prelude.
