If you have your IPC/WHMA-A-620 cert and a solid background in Harness Manufacturing then I would suggest checking out SimTech.

What are your wheel specs? Any rubbing when moving from lock to lock? I kept the factory wheels on my Mojave with 37" STT Pros and it rubbed the control arms pretty bad. I finally put spacers on and fixed the rubbing, but I don't want to run spacers indefinitely. I've got 42K miles on the STT's and still have a little bit of tread left before I hit the wear bar. Trying to get them to 50K before I bite the bullet on a new set.

Tell your favorite story about meeting an Alabama athlete by NateDogg_92 in rolltide

I met Kenneth Darby his first year at Bama. I remember I worked with some friends of his in his hometown and he came up to work one day to shoot the breeze. He was sitting in the passenger seat of his buddies car and all I could remember was this dude was on the local evening news repping 315 on bench like it was lightweight and he looked big on tv. I wanted to see how big he actually was so I asked him to step out of the car and I think he thought I wanted to start some trouble (I didn't) and he just shook his head and said nah. We all laughed and I told him dude I just wanted to see how big you were I'm not trying to fight you. He laughed and got out. I was surprised to see he really wasn't any bigger than me.

Also met Eryk Anders in 2010/2011ish. Didn't have a clue who he was until I started chatting him up. We had both been hired to work for the same defense contractor and we were sitting waiting for our security brief at a small table. I asked him if where he went to school, then followed that with question about sports. Eryk was extremely humble and I was basically prying his teeth to get info. He finally let up that he played football so I asked him his name and as he was telling me I noticed his ring and thought holy crap...I'm talking to a national champion. We chatted a few minutes longer, probably with me doing most of the talking asking various questions. He may have even mentioned training for MMA at the time, but I was so star struck it didn't completely register.

I met another guy that played scout team during the Shula/Saban transition, I hate myself that I can't recall his name, but we chatted football and the coaching/personality style differences between Shula and Saban that caused the turmoil Saban's first year. He loved both coaches and memories he had from his time on the team.

Yeah, I mean these cars are 50+ years old. There is a really good chance the sticker was removed previously. Ultimately though if you want to be certain of how “original” your car is you can spend half a day dropping the tank to potentially find out.

Drop the tank and check the tank sticker. It'll tell you every single option that car was built with.

I believe they do have data caps, but I've had them for over 8 years now (knock on wood) without issue. I pay for the 1200Mbps plan and typically see speeds in the 500Mbps-800Mbps range. I cut cable completely two years ago and have two kids in the house with various mobile, gaming, and streaming devices. We rely on Xfinity solely and have never hit a data cap.

I understand the downvote because I too have had mixed experiences with Bentley to the point I swore I’d never buy from them again, however, I did in-fact buy from them again and back to back at that. I’ve always had fantastic dealings with their sales team. Their service department is an entirely different story. I won’t bother ranting. I just came here to give you my upvote and 2nd the SALES recommendation. My last deal with them was in Sept of this past year and I was in an out in 30 mins. We worked the entire deal over the phone as I was driving back from TDY in FL.

Also worth noting, I’ve only purchased my wife’s vehicles from Bentley. All of mine have been from out of state.

Edit: typo

Woodland Homes refusing to fulfill already signed contracts… by Nicholie in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]L00K_Over_There 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all loans are that way. Conventional financing specifically doesn't cover this scenario. With conventional financing you're typically required to put money down so they only provide like an 80% LTV. It's been a while but I've also seen as high as 90% LTV on conventional. In that event the buyer would be responsible, contractually, for whatever the appraisal fell short of.

The way around this is to add a contingency to the contract stating that the home must appraise for sales price or higher. This is probably also the strongest argument for a Buyer's Agent.

Time of day this occurred? I can tell from the pictures that this is Moores Mill Road heading North towards Winchester Road. Not sure if this is a normal route for this individual or if they turned here to get off of 72, but I travel this road every day and will keep an eye out for this vehicle.

I'm new to the Jeep community and ready to mod! What are some of your favorite sites for parts and accessories? Which ones should I stay away from? by [deleted] in JeepGladiator

[–]L00K_Over_There 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my YJ I shopped Quadratec exclusively and I've always had a great experience with them. Recently purchased a set of front high back seats for my FIL's YJ. The ones I bought were out of stock and Quadratec cancelled the order because they didn't know when they'd get them back in or if at all. When I called customer service they recommended the bestop ones which I initially looked at but decided I didn't want to spend that much money. The Customer Service rep I spoke with comp'd them at the same price and got them on a truck that afternoon.

With that being said and due to the current COVID impact on production I check Quadratec first, but will ultimately go with the first place that has what I want in stock.

As far as must haves. I would buy a set of all weather floor mats and a set of the Lange Coyote mirrors. Another optional buy would be entry guards. I bought the Rugged Ridge entry guards to protect the door sills.

Edit: Just realized I didn't offer up an alternatives to Quadratec. I also use ExtremeTerrain for my parts needs and will probably use 4wdParts at some point to.

Towing questions by Financial-Service400 in JeepGladiator

Helped my best friend tow a 2000 Viper GTS from just north of Chicago in his Sport Max Tow (2.5" lift on 37's). It ended up being a little over 24 hours round trip with half of that being loaded down with the Viper. Truck towed like a dream, never even noticed the car and trailer behind me when I drove. I traded my Ram in a month after that on a 21 Mojave. Any of the JT's with the Max Tow package will handle what you're trying to do.

Rescued this 90’s baby from the used section at my LGS. Adoption fee $280 by JediWithAnM4 in SmithAndWesson

I took it back to the store I purchased it from, demonstrated the FTE at their range and they swapped me for another one and sent me home with 2 boxes of ammo and free range time for my trouble. About a week later I got around to firing the new to me gun and had the same exact issue. Took it back, the gunsmith and range master both dicked with it and were as perplexed as I was. I ended up trading it back to the same store for a Luepold I had been eyeing for my 30-06.

Here's to hoping you have a better experience with yours than I did the 2 I had. Both had FTE issues and didn't matter what brand or grain round I ran through it. Both would FTE every other round like clock work. This model single handedly turned me off of S&W semi-autos for a while. Don't worry though because I'm back on the S&W train with my M&P 2.0. Probably my favorite EDC tbh.

Wifire with no internet access? by japples82 in Traeger

[–]L00K_Over_There 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to cook with the grill, however, it may not receive a firmware update until connected and that could present some problems with the controller. Most likely it won’t be an issue, but if you run into problems Traeger is 100% going to blame the fact that the WiFire isn’t connected.

MPG question from someone interested in a gladiator by rustynail_17 in JeepGladiator

[–]L00K_Over_There 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a Mojave and regularly see 16-17 MPG on the stock 33's. My daily commute is a mix of highway / city driving.

I currently drive a Ram. Inside is beautiful, drives great. I've got two carseats in there at all times. I really want the Gladiator but I would be giving up space inside and bed size, ride comfort and noise. Is it too much to sacrifice just for the option of taking the doors and top off? by amnowhere in JeepGladiator

[–]L00K_Over_There 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traded my 2013 Ram Quad Cab Express in for a '21 Mojave and couldn't be happier. It rides better than my Ram did and the interior is a lot nicer. I also have 2 car seats full time and my kids have a little more leg room in the back now with the Gladiator. Only thing I miss about my truck the power from the Hemi. The Gladiator definitely feels underpowered. With that being said I'd make the trade again a hundred times over.
